Any updates from anybody???It is really strange we were told receive by LATE FALL which is NOW. Nissan has to know if any have even arrived yet. Any Dealer info: Anything would be nice.. If it is delayed again just let us know(simple email). Someone at NISSAN must be reading these RESPOND if you expect to keep LOYAL customers.

Two recent checks with the Ariya portal resulted in two different responses. The first was "by the end of the year." The most recent was "check with your dealer" without a time frame being offered. When I check with the dealer here in Bend, Oregon they say they haven't heard anything from Nissan on delivery schedules. I suspect it will be early next year before deliveries actually begin. Some time ago I read that the initial allocation for the U.S. market was just 6,000 vehicles. We can only hope that number includes those of us who made reservations back in 2021.
I called my dealership in Jersey last week and they said they still haven’t heard anything and they were told October originally. They also had no news on the meta quest. I followed the ship trackers from other posts and see there’s some to the east coast this month so still a little hope but yeah Nissan should have said something by now

It is also not fair to keep the Dealers in the dark. They are just the miidleman so if they say check with Dealer they should at least keep the dealer updated if not us. This is nothing but bad Customer Relations from the begiining. Then they keep us in dark on Free Meta VR, most people signed that on the 10th (had to be signed on by 17th) thats another 30 day mystery.

I emailed my dealer, who said he thinks delivery is this month, but has no details.
I am not sure what the thinking is at Nissan. I suspect, as a major car manufacturer, Nissan can account for every nut and bolt that goes into their cars. They certainly must know when the Ariyas will arrive. It’s not a good look for Nissan and I hope it is not a presaging of things to come. I am definitely turned off.
If Nissan had positive news I believe they would share it with great fanfare. The communication blackout tells me it's likely really bad, like multiple month delays. I have zero expectation that my AWD will be here before Summer of next year best case.
Nissan may also be looking at a reduced demand in the U.S. because the Ariya will not qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit. The Ioniq 5 and Kia 6 have experienced significant declines in demand since the legislation passed. With limited production capacity because of the chip shortage and many European markets offering robust incentives for EV purchases, Nissan may well focus on producing for those markets. If Nissan truly wants to be competitive in the North American market they will have to begin production here for the Ariya and the expanded EV lineup they have promised going forward. In the meantime Leaf production will continue here, although the my dealer tells me it takes almost four months to get one. I will continue driving my 2017 Leaf until the Ariya I ordered arrives, whenever that might be.

The loss of tax credit is a significant hit for sure. One of the best ways to get demand and interest up is to actually deliver on these so people start seeing them on the road. There has never been a single person who I've told about getting on the reserve list for this that has heard of it. Not One. Every time I end up googling a pic or vid to show them. The average consumer thinks EVs=Tesla.
Tesla opened a store here in Bend, Oregon almost a year ago. There are always about 20 or more vehicles on the lot awaiting delivery. They are abundantly visible on the roads of Central Oregon, and will become even more so now that Teslas will once again qualify for the federal tax credit. The State of Oregon also offers a $2500 subsidy on the purchase of an EV. It is predicted that with evolving battery technology, EVs will soon be price competitive with ICE vehicles. Coupled with the tax incentives and subsidies offered on qualifying EVs, it will be a game changer. It already is for me. I charge my Leaf at home with a level 2 charger that is powered most of the year by the solar panels on our house. We essentially drive the Leaf for free using the power we produce. That equation will be applied to the Ariya once delivered.

I had similar experiences. No one knew about the Ariya, although it was shown during the Super Bowl, but not in detail.
I strongly suspect that the delay has something to do with the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act. Several countries are upset because it is affecting their ability to sell EVs in the U.S. Japan may be lobbying the U.S. for some type of relief. This may be why we are one of the only countries that are having a problem with getting our EVs.
