Hi All,
I just purchased a 2025 Ariya Evolve+ and I was thinking about all the 12V battery issues I've read about, so I was thinking I'll likely replace the stock battery, which may not be that good, with a better one (AGM or Lithium Ion?), maybe around the one year mark to try to beat the imminent failure date. ;)

But my question is about the replacement process. The battery appears to have the fuse box attached to the battery hold-down bracket as shown in the photos. The strange part is that the left side nut is mostly under the fuse box, (even though the photo doesn't make that clear since I shot it from the side), so using a socket wrench is out of the question. Is it really designed so that you have to use an open-end or adjustable wrench from an odd angle to remove that nut, or can the fuse box be removed from the hold-down bracket first, before removing the bracket? I looked around and couldn't see an easy way to remove it. Heck, I couldn't even figure out how to open it! It has about 4 or 5 tabs that need to be pushed in (or so it appears) so I don't know how you do that simultaneously. :)

Of course, the manual says that replacement of the 12V battery should only be done by a dealer, but I'm not convinced that's the case. Anyway, I was wondering if any knows of any instructions of videos of accessing and replacing the battery in this car. I looked on YouTube and elsewhere but couldn't find anything regarding 12V battery replacement in the Ariya, other than discussions of how people's 12V battery died unexpectedly.

Thanks in advance for any assistance or enlightenment!
