so sorry to hear abt your loss... that'd be very sad.. that's why I'm so afraid to drive it still..
have you filed the claim yet?

Ugh so sorry! That totally sucks. I hope to install a good dash cam just in case of things like this.Just thought I’d share on here my pain lol
Less than a week of owning my Ariya, I was on the highway when a pipe fell out of a truck (didn’t have time to evade) and hit me. Since it was on highway and the truck didn’t even know what happened, I didn’t have time to get their license plate. Was enough to break my auto-brake sensor and I can’t use any autopilot/pro-pilot features. $500 deductible to fix but still sucks less than a week of owning lol View attachment 1709

Parts available??? Bottom line your safe sounds like it could have been ALOT worse.I haveDropping it off on Tuesday since I’ll be traveling for the week so timing worked out. Could have been way worse, just sucks it happened so soon and out $500 lol These things you sadly can’t predict or prepare for, especially on a highway.
Through my insurance company which is partnered with SafeLite. Glass coverage is part of my policy and the deductible is waived for any glass repair on our cars.@Flora 0 deductible? is that from your insurance policy, or how does it work?
I was debating it, but do you know if it drains the battery more? Since they have to run the wirs and plug it in internally. That's what I'd be curious aboutHave you considered the Nissan dashcam dealer installed option ($360)"??
I have the Nissan Dual Camera drive recorder installed in my Ariya. I haven't noticed significant operational drain to my battery in the month since the installation. I have noticed some phantom power drain (~3% overnight) while the car is off and parked, but cannot yet rule out it's caused by the cam. 30 Day owner, also this may be helpful. The rear lift door goes up very high, if not adjusted to a lower setting. Don't try closing your garage door while the door is open. Our garage door closer arm hooked the rear window wiper arm and turned it all out of adjustment. A quick trip to the dealer fixed it at no charge but it did chip a speck of paint. To adjust, open the door, then manually pull the door to the new elevation that works for you, and press and hold the closer button until it beeps twice. You got it!Just thought I’d share on here my pain lol

Did you have the dealer install the camera? How much does it cost? I'm thinking of getting it done as well. Thanks.I have the Nissan Dual Camera drive recorder installed in my Ariya. Based on my experience of having the Nissan front and rear dashcams installed on my 2018 Leaf, you can adjust the voltage levels the camera powers off at. I had manually adjusted it to a lower level than what is was when installed and it eventually drained the 12V battery (this was done by taking the SD card out and accessing it from my PC. There's a file for the settings). At the time I didn't understand why the car was dead (i.e. no electronics working) and the dealer had it towed to them. They replaced the 12V battery and I subsequently adjusted the camera voltage settings to what they were originally. For the next 4-1/2 years I had no problem with the 12V battery.I was debating it, but do you know if it drains the battery more? Since they have to run the wirs and plug it in internally. Sorry for butting in before WineBoxGeek replies, but in Canada it cost me $911.15 (+ $54.90 for a wiring harness) for it to be installed. I suspect it will be a lot cheaper in the US.Did you have the dealer install the camera? How much does it cost? I'm thinking of getting it done as well. Thanks.
Thanks. Any info is good, not a problem. I know it's listed as $360. I just don't know how much for installation.Sorry for butting in before WineBoxGeek replies, but in Canada it cost me $911.15 (+ $54.90 for a wiring harness) for it to be installed. I suspect it will be a lot cheaper in the US.
