Just got back from the local dealer in Victoria BC. They have a Venture+ sitting in the showroom. It is sold but we got to sit in it and turn it on.

First impressions, getting in and out of the car is an easy slide in and out, no ducking required. This is quite a nice change from the Kona EV. The seats are cushy and comfortable. The heating controls in the wood grain are surprisingly better than we anticipated, very bright and the tactile touch makes you feel like you're pushing a real button. The door bottle holders are quite large.

There were 2 manual glove boxes, one in the middle, the other in the usual place. No storage in the center console at all just the phone wireless charger. The doors had a nice solid thunk when they closed.

The back hatch area is much bigger than the Kona. Well, the whole car is much bigger. One thing we noticed is the hatch is very heavy to close. The struts holding it up are very strong. I suppose the kids could use it to do chin-ups :)

We took a rough measurement of the ground clearance and it was 7-1/2" from floor to battery just aft of the front tires.

Overall, we were pleased with it. We have a Platinum+ on order. Salesman who was there guessed six months for the AWD deliveries. We've also heard starting in March so anybody's guess.

Good to hear of first Canadian deliveries. Not far from Vancouver dock to Victoria. We have a AWD platinum plus on order too☺. Delivery before summer would be very helpful.

Wow. Thanks for info on federal incentives list. Was a mystery as to why the were previously not listed. Good news. Will help a bit with BCs high sales tax on high priced vehicles. I've been waiting nearly two years 😉. Hopefully patience will pay off.

I think the FWD one's were added first because they'd be the first available. Give's hope that the 4Force Ariya's are getting ready to come to Canada soon. We've been waiting for 2 years as well.

We can't wait for a test drive now but may never get one. The dealer indicated that a demo might not be coming. They have so many people on the list that any refused cars will just be offered down the list to someone else. They may never get a demo at that rate.
