I wonder if all or most of the deliveries will be Premieres since it is a special "launch" edition.
I think the Premieres are more profitable for Nissan. Thus, they ship out Premieres first?

I’ll stop by Tustin and Irvine Nissan tomorrow to see if they received new batches. Will report back if there’s anything to report.

Alright. I visited Irvine Nissan and Tustin Nissan this morning.

Irvine Nissan sold their 4 Ariyas last weekend. They do not have anymore Ariya in stock nor do they know when their next delivery is. I was told they plan to have a demo unit available early next week.

Tustin Nissan sold their 3 Ariyas last weekend. 2 of them were Premiere and 1 Venture. I was surprised to hear from Linda that not all 3 Ariyas were Premieres. She does not know when the next shipment will be. However, she plans to have a demo unit available for test drive next TUESDAY. She said she will send out an email blast to the reservation holders shortly. While there, Tustin Nissan was having an employee appreciation day with free tacos. She was nice (and sweet) to offer me tacos. YUMM! So, if you are in the neighborhood next week, plan to attend and test drive the demo unit. Who knows, there may be FREE TACOS! :)

BTW, Linda and her staff "do" read this forum......

I am also waiting for Aria Evolve+ in MA. Got the VR set email yesterday. The Tesla $7500 discount and 10k free mile charging for Model 3 is giving me second thoughts though on the value of Aria. Anyone thinking the same. I know Aria might have better build but not sure about the rest.
Don't do it!
The Ariya is MUCH MORE OF A CAR than a dingy Model 3 with inferior build quality.

Ariya has 87 kWh battery that can do about 310+ miles. The great thing about it is that we can charge up to 100%. (Actual battery is 90 kWh). Ariya comes with 19” wheels but are not performance tires which will lose range.

Ariya Evolve + trim is priced at $50K. Model 3 starting price is $47K. Ariya has lots of features that Model 3 doesn’t have (panoramic moonroof with sun shade cover, heads up display, 360 safety shield, outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, intelligent auto headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, homelink, etc).

More importantly, the Ariya has FOUR HANDLES for the passengers to hold on to. It was uncomfortable for me sitting in the Model 3 passenger seat going through the traverse road in Malibu Canyon without having something to hold on to….!

I chose Nissan as my go to vehicle for EV because they have 12 years of electrification experiences. Plus, it’s made in Japan! Unlike Fremont/Shanghai, cars are rushed out the doors to meet quarterly and year end quotas. Disgusting!

UPDATE:

A Boulder Gray Venture + and a Pearl White Evolve + arrived at Tustin Nissan about 4 hrs ago. The Boulder Gray Venture + was sold to the reservation holder. The Pearl White Evolve + will be the demo car for test drive.

The dealer will begin test drive on Monday (or was it Tuesday). So, if you live nearby Tustin, the list is long for a test drive at Tustin Nissan.

Visited the Dealer today to discuss trade-in and pricing for my Premiere. During review was shocked to see an up charge of $695 for “premium paint” and $230 for “carpeted floor mats”. Dealer indicated this was done by Nissan, not them. My next step is to contact Nissan for an explanation. I am not happy and view this as an inappropriate, dishonest effort to adjust the MSRP.
Has anyone run into this?
Nothing unusual. If you had preordered your build, this should NOT be surprising. Furthermore, certain colors have higher markups. For instance, the new 2023 Prius, there's an added markup for white and red color Prius. Carpeted floor mats are always NEVER FREE. If you don't like your Ariya, you can pass up the current allocation and wait for the next delivery until you are satisfy with the MSRP.

Please understand this is not dishonest or inappropriate. Factory add ons are done at factory level, not by dealership unless you see a black Sharpie written on the sticker label.

My reservation for a test drive was today at noon at Tustin Nissan. It was a black Ariya Engage+ (basic entry level) with no panoramic moonroof and no leather seats. MSRP was $44K. I was lucky enough to take it for a test drive for exactly ONE HOUR. My brother in law was with me so I drove him back to Anaheim Hills with the new Ariya. Then drove back to Tustin.

My first impression was that this car drives exactly like a BOAT. In other words, it drives like my father's 2010 Lexus LS430 sedan. The cabin was SUPER quiet and the drive was very PLUSH. I love love the head up display. The HUD was in perfect line of sight. No issue there.

While driving, I test the "EStep" feature. I honestly did not care for it, nor did I like Tesla's one pedal feature. I prefer to have my car cruise as I let go of the gas pedal and apply the brake as needed.

We had the Pro Pilot turned on while we were at the Tustin Marketplace. Since the traffic was so heavy at that time, I immediately turned it off since I was not familiar with all the buttons.

Overall, I love it! Comparing it to Tesla Model Y, Model Y rides stiffer and harsh with their low profile tires. The sound decibel inside the Ariya is definitely quieter.

Nissan is gonna explode like Southwest Airlines. Sit back and believe our lies, your get you Aryia when it delivered. Don’t complain, we have a chip shortage. We promised it in the spring, then summer, then fall. Oh…. It winter, just hold on it may arrive spring 2023.
The longer you wait, the more you save. That’s how I look at it. The car is not a must have. It depreciates once you drive out the door.

Progress is happening...

We've just been told our car arrived at the dealership in Orlando, FL! Hoping to pick it up today or tomorrow.

I’m glad the windows are not tinted. I get to choose my own level of shades and the type of material to choose from (carbon vs ceramics).

Pearl White on Black looks awesome. That’s what I ordered.

Congratulations to the two newly owners that bought the Ariya at Nissan Fremont up in the Bay Area. You are a star! Fremont is the heart of Tesla mfgr site.

Got a call yesterday that my Evolve + is in. Reservation 111XX, Upstate NY.
The dealer is closed today, of course, but I went to peak at it. Pretty nice looking but, I ordered it with light gray interior and it looked very different from the reservation pictures on the website. It looks tan / beige to me. Has anyone else who has received their car with the same interior color selection experienced or notice this?

Deep Ocean Blue/Beige interior? Take a look at Redline Reviews dated Oct.6,2022. Looks pretty sharp but definitely not light gray. Please take pictures if you decide to go ahead with purchase. Personally I would accept it as I my reservation was for a Deep Ocean Blue that was reported to be light gray.
Here’s the video

See 16:34

The dashboard and the door panels look like light gray to me but the seats are definitely light tan/beige. Overall, it looks sharp! I don’t mind if my White Pearl Ariya has tan/beige interior although I ordered light gray leather seats.

I hear what you are saying but, I ordered the Everest White Pearl Tricoat / Black Diamond Pearl exterior and the gray interior. What I got is not what I was expecting. I'm wondering, if the beige interior is a mistake, i.e., they shipped the wrong car or is this what Nissan meant by "gray." Did anyone ordered this configuration (or just a gray interior) and is experiencing the same thing, or is it just me? Here is two pictures showing the difference. View attachment 928
Yours have matching color tan/beige all around including the door panels. Is your dashboard tan/beige too or is it light gray as in the video?

I remembered when I preordered mine, it showed light gray seats.

The bottom image is a computer rendering, so the colors may not be accurate. All the reviews I saw show that color like in the top picture.
we ordered the light gray seats. It reads “light gray” at the time of ordering, Tan/beige wasn’t a color option for leather seats.

I’m fine either way but Nissan needs some explaining. I’m sure they read this forum….

We picked up our boulder gray Evolve+ last night - so excited! We paid MSRP, and applied our reservation ($500) and reservationist discount ($1,240) to our Nissan loan, 4.99%, 75 months. The dealer, FRED ANDERSON NISSAN OF ASHEVILLE, threw in their family package for free (lifetime charging @ dealer/car washes/paint & fabric protection/complementary inspections/tinted windows/12/12 tire protection/roadside assistance) worth $2,000 . The final price was $54,958. The purchase comes with EV Carefree+ and Nissan Energy Perks by EVgo which includes one year of unlimited charging.

We drove the Ariya and it’s amazing. It is so well-made and comfortable and rides like a dream. It is super quiet with an excellent sound system and I have not been able to find one thing I don’t like. The only caution is you cannot use the rear "camera view" at night, but that’s probably a given.

The engine is responsive and extremely smooth. It handles corners extremely well and has three different driving modes, which I have not tested yet. We’re keeping it in sport for now.

This is our first ZEV and it will be our primary car with an ICE (Honda CRV) backup for long trips. My wife’s lease ends in October of this year, so it will be interesting what will be available then. We’re leaning toward a PHEV.

Well, here are a bunch of pics, super excited to be on the road with the Ariya, can’t wait to spread the word! I wouldn’t be surprised if it wins the car of the year award! Thank you to everyone who contributes to this forum… hoping everyone’s delivery comes soon! 🙏

Wow! Congratulations! Free tinted windows too? I hope my Tustin Nissan can match that same offer you got. That’s an amazing deal! May I ask what the $699 is f

yes, the Ariya drives great! It drives much better than the Model Y. When I drove the demo unit (Engage+), it drove like my fathers 2010 Lexus LS430 sedan. It was super quiet and plush. The only thing I didn’t like was the E Step feature but once I’m used to it, I’m sure I’ll like it!

congratulations! Beautiful color!
