I just spoke with my dealer in San Jose. The person I spoke with explained that lots of Ariya are stuck in the port down in LA and likely will not be released before the end of the year. He said Nissan needed to deliver 10 vehicles before the end of the year to qualify for Car of the Year type awards. The ten vehicles have been delivered - 8 to Southern California and 2 to Fremont Nissan. If his information is correct looks like next month for us.
It would be nice to know a estimate of how many are stuck in Port of L.A and if different models? Thanks again Nissan. I would like to say Jan looks positive but I was told by Nissan Dec looked positive. Once again why do I get more information from strangers than Nissan. Nissan will not be a Christmas Topic,if I had my car it would be.

I wonder if all or most of the deliveries will be Premieres since it is a special "launch" edition.
If they deliver all Premiers considering the assembly line sticking with one model which is probaly true? This makes you think what was the point of Reservation? Now it would be Delivery by Model?(Not Reservation) I also have Evolve+ also if fwd is now Jan/Feb I would think Spring Release for AWD will also change??

It sounds like Ariya arrived 8 southern Ca. 2 Fremont Ca. 2 ships unloading in Tacoma Wa. Palm Springs delivery? Bunch of cars stuck at L.A Ports (how many??) 12 delivered Illinois (Chicagoland) this is all info from multiple post so we might get more info starting next week hopefully. Big question amount arriving and are they all Premiers?? Also does reservation # mean anything because if unloaded by model all reservations meaningless. just a thought ...Great input on arrivals from everyone Thanks for the Team effort. Also great that people who received cars staying in touch with update info: previous youtube from Fremont GREAT

Visited the Dealer today to discuss trade-in and pricing for my Premiere. During review was shocked to see an up charge of $695 for “premium paint” and $230 for “carpeted floor mats”. Dealer indicated this was done by Nissan, not them. My next step is to contact Nissan for an explanation. I am not happy and view this as an inappropriate, dishonest effort to adjust the MSRP.
Has anyone run into this?
Previous owners have showed actual window sticker with this . Listed under Folsom Ca. page 1 #2 underTustin Nissan Actual Price out the door

This was totally unexpected. It was just last week that I received an email about the VR Headset arriving some time in mid January. Since I've only seen the car in pictures and videos, I really wasn't prepared for seeing how beautiful this car is in person. The two-tone of the grey and black is magnificent.

My reservation is 149XX made in November of 2021 and the car was delivered to my Nissan dealer in Delray Beach, FL. They are honoring the MSRP but the salesman tried to slip in a $1495.00 "detailing" package that included tinted windows. I politely declined.

When I showed the salesperson the $1,240 Reservationist Private Offer credit, they told me that the VIN # didn't qualify for it. I pressed the issue and they figured out how to apply my discount. I'm not sure if this was truly a mistake/bug in the software or dealer shenanigan's. They're still trying to figure out how to apply my $500 deposit to the purchase price.

I'm going to pick the car up on Monday January 2nd because I have no tax liability in 2022. Hopefully with the signed agreement I wont have any problems with the IRS and getting the credit for next years taxes.

Hang in there guys, the cars are coming. You may or may not get any information until it's arrived at the dealer, but they are being delivered in all areas of the country.
The $1240 credit is stated on Nissan Reservation Portal might be smart for future owners to print out and don't forget your $500 deposit. I printed everything out even though my dealer says everything is good, just in case my guy is not there on pickup day. Reservation numbers still confusing mine is 139XX thats 1000+ between us .It looks like east coast might have an advantage but still confusing. Congrats, enjoy driving by gas station. Happy New Year

This happened to me as well - I was given instructions on how to request a refund of this $500 (attached). BUT, when I logged into the ARIYA reservation dashboard I receive this popup.

Once you select refund, then this:

After clicking 'Yes, Refund Now', confirmation appears

Hope this helps.
Can any 2022 owners explain how there $500 deposit was applied. This is a new headache we dont need. Thanks This is referencing post #138 above.

I was told if the vehicle is financed through Nissan, the $500 can be applied to the Sales Agreement. If not (eg 3rd party financing OR cash), then the process above (asking refund from the Dashboard) applies.

We did not finance, so asked for a refund to the original payment method as shown above.
Thankyou for that information Happy New Year! That helps to avoid arguing with dealer..

Called Nissan today now they say deliveries Jan maybe Feb but did say our RESERVATION # IS MEANINGLESS. when it comes to delivery. They said your dealer will contact you and watch your Portal. Portal just says deliveries have started. There is no point in having that contact number??

I was supposed to get it this past weekend. That didn't happen. Was then told Tuesday, then Thursday. Got a little firm with the manager and today was told it should be coming by Thursday. Apparently they are being distributed from LA. I am not sure how Nissan decides to send which vehicle to which dealership, but I reserved the Premiere...
Please keep us updated and let us know if any dealers have a clue how many are sitting in L.A. My dealer told me the only info they get says IN TRANSITon their computer , and they dont get a time frame might not really be your dealers fault. At least you are waiting. Good Luck

My dealer in N.California shows FWD arrivals not until (Spring) APRIL. 1 Premiere,1 venture, 2 evolves. so it looks like Dealers can now see their arrivals. Now I wonder if that date will happen and what about AWD Reservations?? Original arrival Late Fall then winter now spring 17 month wait since ordered.

They are all listed as IN TRANSIT also ETA 12-30-98?? I would think their plan is to have people start driving Demo then start another waiting game with NEW Orders they just can't have DEMO sitting without making future Sales. My EVolve also says in transit (April Arrival) I would think they would have to deliver ALL FWD and ALL AWD before fulfilling new orders. But I am clueless but seeing Ariya at dealers for sale should be a positive. I think!!!! Sacramento Nissan shows 7 on web site only difference it shows VIN#

FYI - For any Ariya reservation holder tempted to consider an orphaned Ariya ahead of your assigned Ariya reservation delivery: I suggest you proceed with caution if you intend to apply for your tax credit. I shared in an earlier thread - my interest to consider a conversion of my Evolve + FWD reservation to an Evolve + AWD. My dealer checked with Nissan if this conversion was possible. The short of it was I could cancel my reservation at any time. However, the pitfall to this option was that the dealer must wait to place my order after all the reservations had been fulfilled. In addition my cancellation would likely trigger a problem with the tax credit transition rule document I signed last August.
I like your statement the Dealer must wait to place your order after all Reservations have been fulfilled.(y)(y)

I’m pretty sure my Evolve + will arrive before Feb 7. I will not be surprised if it arrives at the end of Jan. I hope to take delivery on Feb 1 so that my car insurance can kick in on a new month. I can take delivery today if I want because my sales guy is giving me top priority. It’s best I don’t cut in line ahead of the person who’s name was already allocated for. I’ll let you know once I get another phone call or text from Tustin Nissan.

The total MSRP in the photo is $52,915. My reservation # 162xx. My portal hasn’t changed. It would be nice if I have the vin # so I can shop for insurance rates.
