Has anyone heard about any reliability issues regarding the Ariyas in Japan? May be too early for the UK Ariyas but I haven't seen anything yet. Seems like Toyota's BZ4X have had wheels detaching due to a faulty hub bolt. Teslas have also had many issues from early models but they seem to be mostly resolved. Hoping Nissan has a better start.

As a Nissan LEAF owner, it’s never been a concern for me regarding its reliability. I trust that it should still hold true with the ARIYA. Nissan has been promoting this area of success for its EV. I don’t really care people keep saying LEAF is bad without thermal management on its battery, I rather have a slow charging EV than a fast one with catching fire.

Just as Tesla has had over a decade to improve, I believe Nissan has also had over a decade to improve with the Leaf. Counting on this experience to help with the Ariya.

Here is their promotional video mentioning the testing over the past 3 years. On a desktop browser I can select closed caption with English subtitles. They mention the test group is over 500 employees, probably for the entire product line? So hopefully they caught all the significant issues.

Hi, sorry to hear that.
It's completely dead even after you stop and restart the car?
Do you know what's the permanent fix? (Screen replacement?)

Posted this in another thread, but will do it here too. There's a setting in the car settings that will let you turn off the internal alarm sensors. Until Nissan gets around to fixing this issue, you can turn off the internal sensors.

I seem to have been lucky not to have had the screen issue, although that did happen on a prior vehicle (not a Nissan). However, I've had issues with the alarm and the park on the selector failing. Sadly had to e-mail the dealer CEO before anyone would take any notice. Now waiting for the car to be collected.

I can confirm another two cases of the remote climate control/alarm issue - both mine and a colleague. Other things I've noticed are the auto parking brake not always coming on when selecting park. With regard to the display, the sat nav in my car took an age to start the other day (rest of the display was fine) but it did eventually start. Another fairly regular issue I see is the mobile phone status icons (battery level and signal strength) not showing despite the screen working OK.

That's interesting as it's the opposite of the fault I seem to have. The dealer thinks the faults I'm reporting are due to the battery but that's obviously without looking at it yet.

For this one specifically, I've been told there's a setting somewhere in the menus that will allow you to turn off the interior alarm sensors and stop remote climate control from triggering the alarm. Not a perfect solution, but a workaround until Nissan issues a fix. (I'd love to try it, but don't have my car yet.)
