Just got a call that my blue FWD Evolve+ will be at the dealer's in a few days. I test drove a similar one there yesterday - first time actually driving one. It seems to be good value for what you get and the dealer isn't jacking up the price.

However, I'm now leaning toward the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. I was at the Chicago Auto Show three weeks ago and had the opportunity to ride in a bunch of EV SUV's at their indoor track. The Lyriq is really impressive. It also qualifies for the $7500 tax rebate that the Ariya doesn't. I'm willing to pay more for the Lyriq and it's nicer features / specs. I was also looking at the Chevy Blazer EV. It was at a the Chicago show, but you couldn't get closer than about three feet from the demo pre-prod display model.

Here's a quick graphic comparison of those three vehicles: View attachment 1601
Trust Nissan’s 12 years of electrification experience over GM. That’s all I have to say.

Didn't sign any any binding contract with Nissan - $3.75K rebate is better than none at all.

If I can buy an Evolve + for $52K and save myself $15K from buying a Lyriq, my decision is very easy. Nissan's 2.59% interest financing will save you tons of money in the next 3 yrs loan. What will interest be for those buying new EV in the next 3 months? Tripled?

Spend more to save $3750? 👎👎👎👎

Not worried about interest rates - it'll be a cash buy.
Plucking down 75G (tax, registration, +fees) in cold hard cash to buy Lyriq is quite noble.

If you buy an Ariya Evolve + for $57K (tax and registration) while taking advantage of 2.59% Nissan financing, you will come out way ahead. Put your 75G in a CD at 5%+ while borrowing 2.59% is a win win.

Your $3750 credit saving will seem very petty.

I purchased my Evolve + with $51K check and $5000 on my new Chase credit card. My new Chase credit card made me $990 cash bonus back. I win!

Plus, I get one year UNLIMITED free EVGO charging. That is an additional saving of about $900 annually. Drive around for free in the first year

Oh, I remember why you can charge the $5000 now (b'ness card, duh)...
Haha. Great that you're paying attention!

For those who followed my advise by opening up a new Chase Business Card, you will earn $900 cash bonus but must spend $6000 within the first 3 months of opening the card. Get additional 1.5% cash bonus on $6000 spent. That's additional $90 for doing almost NOTHING. Luckily, my dealer allowed 5G on the card.

MY Chase card statement just arrived 2 weeks ago. I will pay in FULL or take advantage of 0% APY for the first year. I will pay off completely which is due next week.

@gregmooty, this is for you.

It took about a year between the time I reserved an Ariya and when it was delivered to dealer. I was just informed that it'll be 18 - 24 months wait time for a Lyriq. :(
One of these could have been yours....

I'm going to let my Evolve+ go. Don't know if you could get it at the same low price I'd pay, but you're welcome to it if possible.

If you really want the Lyriq, maybe my friend's neighbor may want to sell one of her Lyriqs. She ordered two Lyriqs (one for the mother and one for the daughter). They live in Laguna Hills, CA.

I can't imagine her daughter wants the Lyriq because it's quite BIG. They never seen the actual car in person. I showed the mother the photos I took. I told her I was surprised how big the Lyriq was compared to my Ariya.

If you havent heard, our binding contracts that we signed back in Aug '22 qualify for $7500 tax incentives.

So, in case you haven't "let go of your reservation", you may want to reconsider again? Hard to let go unlimited EVGO charging, $1240 discount to early reservation holders, and 2.59% interest rate financing.
