Good showing by Nissan, finishing second only to TMY.
The VW range and efficiency is just atrocious.

Ariya 267 miles, 3.2 mi/kwh, 86% of claimed range
TMY 285 miles, 3.9 mi/kwh, 81% of claimed range

Posted here, with end data snapshot
It was also nice to know that these vehicles got about 10 miles of "driving on fumes" -- after they reported 0% charge (actually, I think Ariya was a tiny bit less, about 8 or so). Even though the ID Buzz performed poorly by comparison, I do think it is cute, and the EV version will be much quieter than the original!

It’s interesting to me that even in the UK Tesla and other EV manufacturers consistently have a tendency to over exaggerate that their range is greater than it really is. However there aren’t any safeguards in place to my knowledge for the buying public to evaluate if EV range claims are realistic or just smoke and mirrors. In the US we have EPA ratings, but even Tesla comes close to attaining those ratings either.
So my attention in this real world range test comparison was drawn to the % of actual range vs the manufacturers claimed range. A close review places the Ariya as the winner in the “claimed range “category by attaining 86% of its claimed range. Conversely Tesla and the rest of the pack only attained 76-81% of their claimed range. So this particular range test suggests that the Ariya has elected to be a bit more conservative than rivals when claiming range estimates.

I am still driving on the first full charge of the Ariya. With just over 100 miles on the odometer, operating in the Standard drive mode, B selected and E-step engaged, I am on track to get 323 miles of range. This is all in town driving, no highway speeds that would significantly impact the range. That is how we used the 2017 Leaf for six years and how the Ariya will be driven for the most part. There will be occasional trips further afield with the Ariya, mostly to neighboring communities and recreational sites here in Central Oregon.

While still learning all of the features and tweaking settings to our liking, the Ariya has been a delight to drive. It meets all of our expectations and then some.
