Ariya Platinum+ AWD e-Force at dealer now. What to do?

I am a reservation holder who did not sign the binding agreement. I was told in early March 2023, my vehicle in my color would not be available until September 2023. My vehicle is at the dealership today. The sticker price is $63,265.00. The original pricing when I made the reservation was $58,950. Nissan is offering me a $1,240 price adjustment credit. Other than that, Nissan says I have to negotiate the sales price with the dealership. If i remember, my model was originally priced at under 60K when I reserved it in late 2021. Now with the loss of the Federal tax credit as well as Tesla price reductions and the easy availability of the Kia EV6 and Ioniq 5, I feel as though this vehicle needs a price adjustment. Any help from persons who have purchased this vehicle recently would be appreciated.

I bought mine with sticker price plus TTL, and no discount from Nissan b/c I didn't reserve it. I know the tax credit is a big incentive for some people and w/o it, could be a deal breaker.
I haggled the price that I can afford, though I know dealer still made profit. It's all up to you to weigh the trade-offs and your financial status. I'm not crazy about EV but I'd like to drive a different and nicer car (like I mentioned so many times, I could get hit by a bus, and I'm not getting any younger). Besides, I got the 2.59% financing rate for 36 months, and I have been saving for 8 years, so I can do it.
My trim is limited edition, so hopefully trade-in tag later counts for something.
Hope it helps with your decision.

You need to look at the sticker price to see the base price and add ons, since it probably has the cost of the custom paint, floor mats, light options, then destination charges.

$60190 is the price before all those are added. When you subtract $1240, that is $58950

Interesting I think 20 inch wheels and the larger tire were a no cost option. Normally that's $2k+.

In my opinion, please dont sweat about not having $7500 IRA tax credit. Nissan is offering you 2.59% interest financing that is far LOWER than any commercial lending banks, That alone will save you more than $7500 over the life of your loan. Plus, get EVGo unlimited free charging. That alone is worth $800-900 in one year assuming you live nearby an EVGO station.

In my case I have a Kia EV6 First Edition. It's 1 year old, has been flawless, we got over 10k in tax credits and rebates and a rate of 1.89 percent. So I would be giving that vehicle and deal up. My research shows the Ariya to be about 6k over real market value not including the 7500 loss of tax credit. While the Ariya has many interior benefits as compared to Tesla, its range and charging speeds are not fast. The home AC charger is limited to 30 amps for level 2. The fast DC charger to 130 kw.our EV6 charges up to 48 amps at home and we have hit 264k at a DC charger. Plus it has the same range as Ariya with 10kw smaller battery pack.
New is nice, but the market for EVs is unstable right now.

Those were the good ole days where free money was given to any living souls. Those days are long gone but Nissan still has 2.59% interest rates plus free unlimited EVGO charging.

As for DCFC, how often do you use it? I use it exclusively until my one year of free charging is up... I only need to be inconvenience for 46 mins to charge up every 5 days or so. Until then, I will get my Wallbox in early 2024.

If you live in CA, you can get up to $7500 tax credit if you're in low income status. It's great for retirees to take advantage of this rebate program. I've decided not to have my father as my dependant for 2022 tax year. He will be filed as Single in case he may want an EV instead of the new 2023 Prius.

I think the Koreans have the competitive advantage when it comes to battery technology (for now).

I saw the 2k clean vehicle rebate has no funding and the $750 clean air rebate is also gone.
The $7500 for lower income may not apply to a 63k car. Also, if I remember correctly, there is a long application and approval process that could take months. It's supposed to be done in advance. Do you have a link for it please?

The process was super easy! It took me 2 weeks and the check came in the mail. At the time, I only got $4500 but the extra $3000 went into effect on Feb28, 2023. Timing is everything they say…..
