Hey there. Has anyone done the extended warranty from the dealership? They are selling it hard of course!
Earlier we had so used loyalty discount but now they saying it’s not on Ariya.

IME, extended warranties aren't worth it, but YMMV.
I think normal discounts (customer loyalty, first time Nissan buyer, etc.) don't apply.
Not unless it's a big discount like 40-50% off on the real Nissan extended one, not off brand ones. They have a big markup, previously I got a Toyota one over 40% off for a 10 year.

Argggg the husband is paranoid. $3500 for warranty. As long as I get service at dealership there will be no deductible.

This car comes with 3 years free maintenance.

How many years on warranty, you have to remember your car does not have a engine. There are less items to fail. I think Consumer Reorts would say no. OR talk them down to $2600
This is the link to the brochure, you can purchase it any time during the original warranty period, at least that's what it says.

No need to buy extended warranty at this time. You have up to the last month of your 3 yr factory warranty to decide THEN.

I got the extended warranty for under $3k, I got it so I would have a warranty while I'm still making payments. I will not have this paid off in 3 years.
No engine, and more importantly, no transmission. I'd need to see the battery warranty in more detail, but so long as the conditioning system is included on the battery warranty (they can be a trouble spot in many EV's), then I'm a no. Most of the rest is solid state. Heck, I can't kill some of my older TV's. While I've placed ext warranty on most vehicles in recent 10 years of so, It's unlikely for an EV.
Thank you everyone. Today is my 1st full day with my Ariya. Testing the auto park has been fun!! We did not buy the extended warranty even though he was giving it to us $2500. Thank you for the pamphlet on the warranty that we can add anywhere between 3/3600 miles. Who knows how much that will be, but we’ll figure that out when and if needed. All in all it was fairly painless. We saw their invoice and as a reservationist… they made under $100. The finance guy was hopeful that Nissan was going to give them the $1240 rebate for reservationists. He basically said they are happy for the initial deliveries (mine was the 1st out of 5 at my dealership) because the sooner they get them in and have us driving around town, than the sooner they can sell and make new orders and they can make a profit. From what is being said here… it’s because they’ll be selling over MSRP. I need to set up for the $500 refund now… amd will post the info the dealership gave me.

Congrats!

BTW, Dealers get 3% hold back (profit) on the invoice from Nissan.

If you decide to change your mind and need that extended warranty refunded, it's refundable as long as it's still within the warranty period of 3/36,000.
