In an Ariya 2023, I am trying to find a screen brightness auto-dimming (or adjustment) feature that is either controlled by the ambient light (like mobile phones) or controlled by turning (or when) the lights are on. What I have found is that the brightness controls for the main screen and the navigation screen are in two different places. The mail screen brightness control is on the upper left of the screen, The navigation screen brightness control is through an awkward menu control.

Anyone has figured out how to set up the auto-brightness adjustment in this vehicle. Thanks.

I don't have mine yet but I remember watching a YouTube video where the person used the controls you just stated to manually brighten or dim the displays. They didn't make any mention of an automatic one. Not sure if it has it but I'll check the menus when I get mine in a few days.

It does dim automatically some when the headlights turn on but I didn't find an auto setting based on general light level. Some of the settings are weirdly arranged between the two displays. For those who don't have one yet, there are two settings menus: one on the driver display, and one on the navigation display. They have different options and features, and not all of them make sense to be on the settings menu they're on. There are five separate brightness settings. The two displays have separate brightness settings, the HUD, the ambient lighting, and the overhead lights that come on when you open a door (set on the light control itself on the ceiling). IMO, the ambient lighting, HUD, and overhead lights being separate make sense, but the two displays being separate is not intuitive. One of the two display's brightness also affects the brightness of the lighting for the haptic buttons, but I don't remember which one. Fortunately, this is generally one of those things you set to where you like it and never need to adjust again.

BTW I have spent an hour trying to figure out how to get into vehicle settings like unlock all doors and lock all doors etc. Do you know how one gets into those settings. The setting icon on navigation window is useless. Thx.

These settings are on the driver's screen settings, under "Vehicle Settings" and "Locking". By default, the car unlocks all doors. You can turn on "Selective Unlock" if you want just the driver's door, or whatever door you were at, to unlock. The settings for turning on the walk-away lock, and approach unlock (which I love) are under there too.

Nissan made a bunch of videos to explain the various features. They're pretty good, and short.

This video explains most of the lock/unlock options:

I have watched this video. I am just unable to get into the vehicle information display like the video says. Thanks.
Turn the vehicle on, but don't go anywhere. It will disable most menus if you're driving. Use the left/right gray buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to navigate from one information display to another until you get to the Settings one (far right by default). Once you're on the settings one, press down on the scroll wheel to enter the settings. Use the scroll wheel to move up/down between options, and press on the scroll wheel to select an option. There are often multiple pages of menus/settings, so scroll past the bottom to make sure you see them all.

Gotcha. Thanks. Will try this out. All my other cars have it from the display setting in the middle screen. Confusing.
