Has anyone heard or seen any info on if Nissan has started building AWD models yet?
It will start in mid to late March. Dealer training will start at that time per Tustin Nissan. I asked Tustin Nissan if I could attend their test drive of the AWD when they get their hands on it.Has anyone heard or seen any info on if Nissan has started building AWD models yet?
So much for early 2023 delivery, not that I believed it when “fall 2022” for FWD stared in December. It will start in mid to late March. Dealer training will start at that time per Tustin Nissan. I asked Tustin Nissan if I could attend their test drive of the AWD when they get their hands on it.
I’m sure the wait is well worth it. Heck, 0-60 in under 5 secs for AWD!So much for early 2023 delivery, not that I believed it when “fall 2022” for FWD stared in December.
now that I have tested driven a FWD and tried out the propilot 2, I’m chomping at the bit to get mone.
I have it reserved with the local dealer, but I can’t imagine what the delivery cost would be if I switched to Tissan Nissan if that is what you are suggesting.I’m sure the wait is well worth it. Heck, 0-60 in under 5 secs for AWD!
if you have your AWD on order with your local dealer and want it sooner, you know what you need to do.
Oops, meant Tustin Nissan, didn’t mean to mess up their nameI have it reserved with the local dealer, but I can’t imagine what the delivery cost would be if I switched to Tissan Nissan if that is what you are suggesting.
More importantly, hopefully your local dealer will honor MSRP.Oops, meant Tustin Nissan, didn’t mean to mess up their name
Hmmm... if they start arriving before the Premiere I reserved, maybe I'll reconsider...I’m sure the wait is well worth it. Heck, 0-60 in under 5 secs for AWD!

My Evolve + was built on Nov ‘22. My SUV was ready for pickup mid late Jan.Let's see. Production late March. Shipping April. Sitting by the dock on the bay May. Rail or truck late May. Dealer prep June. I'm not getting my expectations too high! Perhaps a direct container from Yokohama might save a couple of months😜
I am also frustrated with the promised "early 2023" "promise". My dealer, in Gladstone, OR, does not have any solid information on when the AWD model will arrive. Best information so far from the dealer: Nissan does have a portal for tracking the location of incoming units but this is only for units that have identifying information attached and no dealer has access to that on the Ariya AWD’s at this time. The portal, in January, 2023 showed "PROD-Dec/Jan/Feb which means Production – Month." I also found it interesting that, two days, ago, Nissan sent out a promotional email, and again said "early 2023" for the AWD model. It will start in mid to late March. Yeah I saw that promo email -- I suppose "early" means the opposite of "late" -- so maybe early goes all the way through the end of June? I don't know. It does take about two months from shipping out to landing on the dealership lot over here. Back in 2011 our first Leaf left port on March 10, 2011 -- I remember that so clearly because it was the day before the big earthquake in Japan. We took it home in early May 2011.I am also frustrated with the promised "early 2023" "promise". My dealer, in Gladstone, OR, does not have any solid information on when the AWD model will arrive. SO interesting. Imagine, we are trying to interpret the words "early 2023"!!! I decided to google "early in the year", and the best answers to that question make the distinction between "early" "middle" and "end", thereby bringing about 1/3 increments. So, I have decided to predict that the first AWD units arrive at dealerships by 4/30.Yeah I saw that promo email -- I suppose "early" means the opposite of "late" -- so maybe early goes all the way through the end of June? There's a member on this forum who is from Japan.. AWD Ariya is already selling in Japan since last year. Are the AWDs actively being delivered in any markets? I saw a video of 1 delivered in Japan a month or two ago but not sure how common it is there or elsewhere.
