My wife couldn't unplug charger from ariya while it was charged in a timed charging session. Can we turn this feature off does anyone know?

She doesn't have app in her phone. I guess she should add it too... Lol
I believe you can turn the timer off in the car, or usually the plug will unlock if you lock and unlock the car with the key fob.

You can choose the lock/unlock options from the steering wheel EV menu, but I'm not certain they work exactly.

What I can observe was that if you lock after plugging in, then approaching the car will sense the fob then unlock the port while the white LED is on. That's why the instructions are to lock then unlock.
Come to think of it yeah, she prob simply needed to unlock car and plug would also unlock 😐...
You need to read all info under EVGO thread lots of info. Mine has locked 7 times in 3 months at EVGO multiple reasons and different disconnects. For this Reason I will always send my wife out with plenty of charge I dont want to do a RESCUE, this 1 issue would turn many people away. Also read about the plastic white trigger to release which is impossible to reach. I would NEVER use this car as a commuter if you had to look for open charger and sit to charge after working a full day this would wear you down. I have 4000 miles in 3 months 95% within 8 miles of my house. I also charge at home now even though EVGO is free for 1 year. The amount of pumps out of service and only delivering 50Kw is insane. Takes to long to charge. I am still happy with car but will always have my Tacoma as backup and trips where I can get gas in 2 min and move on. Last 3 months 2018 Tacoma 600 miles since Ariya purchase. Good Luck.

Just want to make sure your wife remembers to hit the Stop Charge before disengaging the nozzle?

I used EVGo this morning. No problem for me in the past several weeks.

Does it stay locked unless you hit that button?

Can someone clarify ... When I hit that stop charge button it doesn't seem to do anything obvious. Like no display or light alerts that charge is actually off. ?

Correct. However, the screen will change back to their EVGo main screen.

In order to disengage the nozzle from your charge port, you will need to hit the Stop Charge button on the screen. Since EVGo will limit your charge to one hour, it will automatically stop charging when the one hour is up. If that’s the case, you can disengage the nozzle without having to hit the Stop Charge on the screen

. .
I'm just talking about charging at home ...
That stop charge button on left of steering column doesn't seem to do anything when I push it. ?

Sorry. I have no idea since I charge exclusively at EVGO. Someone else can chime in with your inquiry.

I was at an Electrify America and it quit charging and I couldn't disconnect. I called the number on the charger and the person told me to close all the doors and using the remote, click it locked once followed by unlock three time. I worked.
