A little bias on safety of Korean (LG Chem, Samsung) made batteries due to recent recalls from BMW and Chevrolet.…. I have not been able to find the information about Ariya’s battery supplier(s).
I met a lady who came from Nissan in Japan yesterday at the ride and drive event. She said that AWD model will arrive later around January.

In the case of the US, Envision AESC is producing batteries for the Nissan LEAF at the Smyrna, Tennessee plant (at the Nissan vehicle factory). Other battery plants are located in Japan, the UK, and China. We believe that Envision AESC will remain the sole/main battery supplier for the upcoming Nissan Ariya. dated May 19 2022
