I was thinking about changing the exterior color, but I'm worried about losing my spot and maybe not being able to take delivery this year. Does anyone know if it's "safe" to change the order?

Changing the color or dealer should let you keep the same reservation number with same trim. I have changed the color once, no problem.

I actually changed my trim level to the e4orce Platinum+ model and did not get any thing more than the standard warning. But after seeing the videos on how e4orce AWD worked, I decided that I had to have it. I think the Evolve+ trim offers a ton of value and about 20 miles more range, but the idea of driving in a vehicle where the g-forces on turns and stops are mitigated so well was very tempting.

May I politely point suggest that "Reservation Number" is not synonomous with "Build Order"? As an example, the AWD is shown as late availability. Clearly those "reservations" won't be assigned correlated build orders.

More, my reading of the reservation process implied changes can affect "build order". Do they? How significant a change is needed? I know none of those answers.

My thought is we'd be remiss in concluding nothing is changing just because a reservation number didn't change.

But WTF do I know, so...
