Picking up my evolve+ tomorrow.
I’m wondering if Nissan has said anything about offering a donut spare tire for the Ariya in the future. This would offer piece of mind when traveling. I don’t suffer from range anxiety, but flat tire anxiety is another story,
Call me old school.

Also I hope they will offer vehicle to grid or vehicle to home (V2g / V2h) in a similar manner to Hyundai / Kia using an adapter plugged into the charging port.

has anyone heard anything about these things.
enjoy your Ariya.

Apparently there is a spot under the cargo floor, but so far I don't think there is a forum post confirming this.

This is the picture from the video Alex on Autos showing this space under the foam. The mounting nut appears it might work. Right hand drive cars have the 12v battery here, but left hand drive should have a space.

Nissan offers Nissan Roadside Assistance which includes flat tire change, vehicle lockout, jump starts, and trip interruptions benefits for 36/36000 miles.

in my other vehicle, I have a can of flat puncture tire sealant as a backup. I prefer not to change a flat tire while cars are whisking by me at 50mph.

Speaking of spares, while I await AWD to become available in the US (didn't reserve one but I did submit a config from the Nissan USA page to my local dealer), I'm old school and still prefer a real spare, with tools. Thus, does anyone know the part numbers for the jack, jack handle, and lug nut wrench?

I once had a brand new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid - 2022 I believe. The SOS feature was faulty from the factory (known issue). Dealer needed to unplug everything from the battery, then reconnect everything, then program the module.

So to get it inspected, I needed to drive it for about 100 miles. I opted to drive across the state for a nice late morning weekend ride. Well, just about at the u-turn point, I suddenly heard a loud pop! There was a cut-out in the road to turn off into so I backed up into the spot. The sidewall of one of the brand new tires had blown. As far as I was concerned, no amount of patching or fix-a-flat would fix this. I proceeded to take out the jack, inserted the handle, and lifted the RAV enough to clear the wheel from the ground, then used the lug nut wrench to loosen the nuts and remove the tire, put on the spare, and slowly and carefully return to the dealer (free tire replacement coverage).

So, I'm a big fan of having said tools. AAA was going to take way too long. I'd be done before they'd ever show, and no guarantee you will even have cell service where you break down.

Part numbers appreciated!

Thanks.

The only vehicle I own that I have no desire to change a spare tire on is my 32k DP coach with 250 pound tires. Worst case for me in that scenario if/when tire shops are closed /no cell service etc. I’ll consider it an adventure- pull to the side of the road, get a good nights sleep and just deal with it the next day. Ariya is a completely different scenario as I do plan to carry a spare. Conversely in the Ariya I doubt that I would ever be prepared to spend the night if I got a flat when tire shops are closed or there’s no cell service.

If you purchase a donut wheel you will also need to purchase scissor jack and tire wrench. 2nd you will have to look and see where they want you to place jack. Possible groove for jack under frame.Amazon does sell donut spare would have to verify size.
