I have had my Evolve+ exactly 1 week 350 miles. Yesterday I was driving and twice from a stop when starting car it felt like Emergency Brake was on? No light indication or warning. I pulled over turned car off redid everything it was OK,I was thinking I did something Maybe??/ Today my wife was driving turned car on says it feels like emergency brake is on. pulled over turned off then back on everything OK. Could this be a computer issue ,anyone else notice this. I will keep you updated to new to have issues especially if computer issues. thanks for listening.

Maximum regeneration setting? I test drove an Ariya and an Ioniq 5 yesterday. Drove the Ariya first. When driving the Ioniq 5 I found I could increase acceleration by reducing the regeneration settings. Ioniq 5 has paddle switches on the steering wheel which makes changing the regeneration settings very easy. i found I could increase speed, without changing position on the accelerator, by reducing the regeneration settings. Anyone know if the Ariya does the same thing?

Was the eStep feature turned on that made it felt like the emergency brake was on?

Speaking of eStep, I really like this feature. When I drove it during my test drive back in late Dec, I really hated it because I wasn't used to it. Now, I wish the eStep would be one pedal driving like the Leaf.

My dog sits on the front passenger foot area He does not like the eStep. It jerks him around when I release the accelerator. I learn to turn off the eStep when he's with me

On the center console is a pair of buttons that will switch between different drive modes: ECO, Standard, Sport. These affect how much acceleration you get off the line, and also regeneration. In addition, there are two different gear shift settings: D, which will coast more, and B, which will coast less and regen more without touching the brakes. There's also E-Step, which is almost (but not quite) one pedal driving. It will only slow down so much, then you have to use the brake pedal (which will do regen). I don't know if D/B change anything when E-Step is enabled.

So, we have three modes with two gear shift settings plus E-Step, for 9 modes, or 10 if D/B change anything for E-Step.

This all sounds complicated, but to me it's actually more intuitive than the paddle things. My only wish is that the car would remember which gear shift setting I last used and go to it by default. I prefer B mode, but D is the default, so I always have to do the double-shift.

I like using eStep but it would be nice to have an adjustment level where we can decide the level of "stoppage" on the eStep feature. In other words, let us DECIDE how we want to customize it. It's the best way to differentiate the eStep vs the competition with exclusive One Pedal.

I frequent Laguna Beach where hills can be steep. Since I'm unfamiliar with EV, what setting should be used to climb steep hills? Use the normal D drive since EVs have instant torque to climb steep hills?
