eStep + Automatic Brake Hold

I’ve been using these 2 features exclusively. It’s awesome! Although it’s not One Pedal feature, it’s quite useful at long stop light.

There was a video or owners manual that I saw/read about a slight popping sound as you release the brake pedal when the automatic brake hold feature is enabled. It’s normal operation to hear the popping sound per Nissan. It doesn’t always happen but it can be noticeable. (I can’t find that video or read it from somewhere).

Anyhow, I created this new thread in case others may find it useful..

I notice a jerky stop if I have the automatic brake hold on, unless I'm really careful to release the brake before a complete stop. Doesn't happen with ABH off.

I didn't noticed any jerky stop. It stops like any other ICE cars. I will pay attention to it next time.

It's the seldom popping sound when releasing the foot from the brake pedal after the auto brake hold kicks in. Per Nissan, it's normal operation but I can't remember which video it was that I saw.
Does the Auto Brake Hold have to be pressed every use? In the video, it shows that hitting the accelerator deactivates the feature.
This is what I understand: press the button once to enable, it stays on standby, braking activates it then accel deactivates, back to stand-by, and cycle again?
Press button to stop enabling.

Yes, this is exactly it. I've never had to press that button again after enabling it. You do have to depress the brake pedal a good bit to set the hold though; just braking gently enough to a stop won't set it.

Let me know if you guys hear a "popping sound" after releasing your foot from the brake pedal when the auto brake hold is set. I am not talking about the "swish sound".
