If anyone is interested. I'm a kia guy this was my first choice but couldn't wait until the end of the year and wanted to get my feet wet with an EV. Still not for sure I will make the switch but it does look nice. Although the interior and infotainment system look similar to the Ariya (ev9 has 3 rows though).

They will reveal more tomorrow, I would like to see different colors as im not a white car fan. Be interesting to see darker colors tomorrow.

EV9 is an awesome and better car. It will be at least $10k more than Aria but a large car. Longer and Wider than Kia Telluride. With V2L and rapid charging and many other features Hyundai EV platform is more future proof than Aria right now.

Pretty impressive EV for those in the market for a larger EV with 3 row seating. I predict at launch the price tag of the EV9 will be just shy of $70K for a two wheel drive variant with a 100KW (or slightly larger) battery.

If this is accurate, the lowest trim with reasonable range will be $61k which is not bad considering what it is, but still a lot more than my Ariya.

Looks really nice for those who want a larger car. My husband has the Kia Niro EV, it is a REALLY nice car, has more upgrades than my Ariya. I was really close to getting the EV6, but I didn’t like the look as much as the Ariya and I didn’t want to have two EV’s from the same manufacturer (we had two Bolts at once, and the recalls were crazy). Kia is doing EV’s right!

If accurate, I suspect $61K would only buy you the 77.4KW battery as found in the EV6 platform. Given marginal HP and range it remains to be seen just how popular that entry version will be. However, even performance numbers and range estimates for the upper tier EV9:variants appear a bit lackluster.
IMO if you’re looking for a 3 row SUV EV, the Rivian R1S has more to offer if your budget will allow you to pay a bit more. In hindsight the early R1S reservation holders signing up to purchase their Rivian for under $80K will realize huge value by comparison.

I agree @atreis that $80K is a pretty steep price tag to pay for an SUV and certainly outside my budget as well. Although I do like the appearance of the EV9, and believe that Hyundai/Kia team overall has done a remarkable evolving all their EV platforms, from what I’ve seen of the EV9 so far I’m not convinced that it is cutting edge. Seems to me price point sensitivity might be holding back its full potential. Specifically I fear since it will be considerably heavier combined with a higher drag coefficient than the EV6, the battery pack at launch will be undersized.

Unless an EV buyer requires 3 row seating capacity offered in the EV9, once the smoke clears I suspect the Ariya feature for feature will still remain a better value than the EV9. That said, although Ariya is badged with a Nissan logo, surprisingly it offers the premium feel usually found in the upper tier badging of Infinity and Lexus.

The Genesis GV 70 is definitely a looker. However as far as I can tell it has two significant downfalls. 1. It’s an ICE vehicle design that’s been retrofitted for EV use. 2. EPA Range is limited (low 200 miles) due to its smallish 77.4 KW battery pack.

My garage space is max'ed out with the shorter Ariya and a Murano. The Murano is longer than the Ariya, the Ariya is wider. Yes, more isn't necessarily better.
