@atreis that $80K is a pretty steep price tag to pay for an SUV and certainly outside my budget as well. Although I do like the appearance of the EV9, and believe that Hyundai/Kia team overall has done a remarkable evolving all their EV platforms, from what I’ve seen of the EV9 so far I’m not convinced that it is cutting edge. Seems to me price point sensitivity might be holding back its full potential. Specifically I fear since it will be considerably heavier combined with a higher drag coefficient than the EV6, the battery pack at launch will be undersized.
