Has anyone purchased an extended warranty through Nissan for their Aryia? I had my Leaf in the shop this week for some warranty work and it got me thinking, my drivetrain warranty has only 7500 mile left

I asked about one when I bought mine and the finance guy told me there wasn't one available through Nissan as far as he could tell.

Other people have mentioned prices and discounts in forum, so long ago cant remember where to look maybe under Anymore Delivery Updates that would let you start in Dec and maybe help. I was offered Warranty but turned down due to price (which I forget) and the theory FWD (no Engine) odds are on my side, but I think someone said as long as under original warranty you could possibly extend. good Luck sometimes hard to pull up old info: How old was your Leaf and how much warranty work has been done? Just curious. thanks
Thank you, my leave is a 2019 SV plus with 52,000 miles on it. At 30,000 miles I had the doorhandle replaced under warranty. It recently developed a clunk in the driveline so I took it into the dealer knowing that the driveline was warranted for 60,000 miles. Dealer said they fixed the clunk under warranty and it was a wheel bearing. When I pick the car up the clock and not been fixed when I read the TSB that they had addressed, it was not a wheel bearing but they had greased a CV joint bearing service. I went back to the dealer and said I believe the clunk is a motor mount or internal to the driveline. They charge me $240 to diagnose the problem as a broken motor mount and then wanted $1600 to change it on top of the 240 to diagnose something I told them what is the problem I would’ve never gone to a dealer for service. Had I not been trying to get it fixed under warranty. Needless to say I paid the 240 and took my car back and I’ve had the motor mount replaced by my local mechanic for half the price.
Thinking about the electronics on the Ariya just in the dashboard makes me think a &2000 warranty might pay for itself

Since your Leaf is out of warranty, it may be expensive to get extended warranty.

Please reach out to Flavio in Finance at Tustin Nissan and tell him you are a member on the Ariya forum. You were referred by a member on the forum about getting extended warranty. Ask him if he can offer you special deal for Ariya forum member.

Good luck. Let us know the outcome.

Ok. According to @Tonejr83, we was quoted $900 for extended warranty on his Premiere at Tustin Nissan. Maybe this $900 quote may not be the same for you if you did not buy the Ariya from them. You can always call and get competitive bid and see.
I got an extended warranty from Premier Nissan dealership when I purchased my vehicle on Jan.2. They had a few options for mileage and years and deductible amount. Reasonably competitive prices, maybe a touch higher, but I felt it was worth it given that the vehicle is new and standard warranty is so short (3 year).
I have a 2017 Leaf that last summer developed a problem with the gear selection. It wouldn't shift into either D or R. AAA hauled it to the dealer where the 12V battery was replaced. We drove it home and that afternoon and then the same issue arose. Back to the dealer via AAA, and for the next four months the service department worked with Nissan Engineering to diagnose and fix the problem. In order, this is what was done. Replaced the traction motor, replaced the power distribution module, dropped the battery and inspected all of the cells, and finally replaced the inverter which fixed the problem.

I purchased the extended warranty when I bought the car. The cost for parts alone was in excess of 10K with the labor easily matching that. The dealer provided a loaner free of charge while the Leaf was out of service. The cost to me was zero. Do I think an extended warranty is a good idea. Absolutely, and I will get one for the Ariya.

As a side note, I have a 2012 F150 that had an extended warranty for 10 years. It paid for itself due to repairs that were necessary after the original warranty expired.

I asked my personal assistant whether extended warranty available from Nissan. She told me that this has to come through dealer. Dealers’s one is a third party one. I purchased Leaf from a different dealer and they also offered a third party extended warranty. I have not asked them specifically Nissan warranty yet.
I did get offered thru dealer with a 3rd party warranty. It's by Fidelity Warranty Services. I went thru the list of Non Included Warranty, seems like those items often we want to be warranted not included.
The fine print text is very cumbersome, just to deter ppl to see what's included and what's not.

I reached out to Flavio about a month ago. He quoted me the same price that my dealer in Waco, TX offered.
Meh.

Good to know. I will be at Tustin Nissan tomorrow. Let me see if I can talk to Nick (GM) to offer extended warranty discounts to the forum members.

(I’m assuming we are taking about the Ariya extended warranty purchase only).

Do all dealers sell the same extended warranty?

Although I spoke to Nick, I did not get a chance to talk about the extended warranty with him. He was in and out of the training room.

When a customer came into the showroom wanting to trade in his Ford F150 Lightning, I supposed Nick spent most of his time with that customer. I left at 1pm when I was not allowed to test drive the Platinum production vehicle
