Hi,

I am a new owner of the Ariya Engage. I asked my dad to charge the car with the mobile charger that came with the car using the 110v. Apparently he set the charge timer on. Since it was my first time charging, I unplugged the charger and pulled out the garage and parked outside since my dad needed the garage soon after. I now notice that my dashboard is blinking green even with my car turned off. The white LED charge light is on as well (where you open the charging port right side of the car). Thinking back, I did not use the charging meter to stop charging or so. I just unplugg... I know I am an idiot, but was wondering if anyone can chime in to help find a way to stop the blinking green light. If all else I could bring it back to the dealership to find out. I also hope its not the "high voltage activated" on the first responders guide. Please help, I am a total newbie to all this. Thanks.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the green light on dashboard does stop when I turn on the car to drive. But onces its back on standby, the green light flashes forever again.

I hope so. I think I will just sleep on it for now. Part of me wants to try out plugging in the mobile connector again and reset the timer, properly dosconnect, or something first thing in the morning. thank you for the reference

You’re not an idiot. This is all new to us too. I’m learning every day reading from this forum. This does remind me to check if my dealer placed my the mobile charging kit in the back of the trunk…

BTW, are you a reservation holder for your Engage-, or did you walk into the dealership and bought it without a reservation #?

I walked in to buy the Engage on last week of January. Not sure if the dealer was dishonest but he told me I am lucky that I was the only buyer of the Engage and they never hd another one in stock. He didnt tell me much but my guess is I must got lucky got it off someone who did canceled their delivery or reserve. I remember test driving two weeks prior, they did not have one in stock. I bought it off MSRP no options around 44.5k. The only trim available right now to buy off the lot is the Empower+. This is Orange County SoCal.

I think anyone without a reservation can walk up to any dealer and purchase an Engage+. I know Tustin Nissan has a few Engage+ in their inventory selling at MSRP. Unfortunately, you don't get unlimited charging at EVGO for the first year since Engage+ was not the trim for reservation.

I think the Engage+ is a great choice if you are driving mainly around town. Be sure to sign up with EVGO.

The Ariya gets so much attention on the road because of it's distinct dual color paint with the black rooftop and stylist shape of the SUV.

For $45K, you get to ride in style.

Hmmm…. $45k, I wish!

I had a reservation and waited a year and a half for my Premiere. The dealership added on a $3k “dealer assessment” which ticked me off, but I wanted the car. Ended up paying just under $70k—way more than what I thought based on the car I “built” and reserved. Still love it though. Just set me back more than I anticipated.

Glad to stumble onto this Forum. This Ariya is my first EV, and the info exchanged here is very helpful!!

Welcome to the forum! My goodness 70k sounds like a whole lot for a vehicle with about a 55k MSRP. Was that including a sales tax?

I love my Engage too! I went to get tinting and all of the customers said the car looked beautiful. For whatever the price I think it is worth every penny. Also I realize I need the pilot park, so I envy you :)

I just purchased an Aryia evolve and charged it for the first time. I have left the charging station but the green light is blinking, even though not connected to any charger nor is it running.

If the light blinks blue, it means the high voltage battery charging from the external power source.
If the light blinks green, it means the high voltage (main battery) is charging the 12V battery.

Congrats on your purchase (y)
The High Voltage Battery is charging the 12v battery under the hood.
The 12v battery runs all the electronics. and actuates the trigger to start the vehicle.
As long as you do not have the situation that I'm currently going through (continual charging of what looks to be a defective 12v battery.. I get readings in the 11v range ) it should run for < 10 minutes or so and then cut off.

So if the green light is always flashing there’s a problem with 12V battery? Should I go to service if that is happening?
Use your battery monitor..
Look how unstable mine is...
The GREEN PERCENTAGE is the "State of Charge" in the battery.. Ouch!!!

@BLACK-PREMERE out of curiosity, have you talked to the dealer abt it? consider it's still under warranty, if it constantly drains power for no reason?
my ICE traverse has a 12V monitor on dash, and I noticed one time it's less than 12V, turned out my son plugging his laptop while I was driving.
not to compare with your case, do you have anything constantly uses that kind of power? I remember you said your dash cam. If you unplug or not using dash cam, still it is the case?
