It's only on the Platinum (in the US version).
The key fob will open and close the lift gate, but technically I'm using my hand to push the button (I have the Premiere). There is a button to the left of the steering column that does the same. The Platinum is supposed to have the "motion activated" lift gate, where you sort of wave your foot under the back side of the car, step back, and then it opens/closes for you.Does anyone's Premier come with the hands-free lift gate? I have the Premier and way back when I made the reservation, it said it would come with hands free lift gate. The specks actually said with remote key start also and it does not have that either. I can remote start with the app, so that is not an issue with me. I would like my EV even more than I already do, if it had the hands-free lift gate.
Yes, the foot activation is what I meant. Oh well though. Does your actual key fob have an engine start button? Mine has 4 buttons... lock, unlock, tail gate open/close and red honking alarm button. It does not have the remote engine start button on the key fob.The key fob will open and close the lift gate, but technically I'm using my hand to push the button (I have the Premiere). It's just the four buttons. I wonder, are you referring to one of the options that are available... it's called Virtual Key?Yes, the foot activation is what I meant. Oh well though. I’ve been using the app when needed but I had thought there should be one on the key fob itself. My dealer gave me a reason I do not recall, but it did not make since as the spouse just bought the Cadillac Lyriq and his has the key fob engine start. Oh well It is not the end of the world as I can always use the app. It's just the four buttons. I wonder, are you referring to one of the options that are available... it's called Virtual Key?
GOTCHA... yea, I meant on the key fob."Nissan Intelligent Key® with push button start "
There what they call it, but that usually means a push button inside the car to start instead of a key.
Yeah! Isn't that the feature to remotely park and back out the car from tight spots? Where it's too tight to open the car door? Cool!
That features the driverless forward and reverse for those tight parking spots. I wish they would make that feature available for the U.S., too.
Well, the $83K Mercedes EQE350+ does not come with touchless liftgate opener but a $63K Ariya Platinum does!Does anyone's Premier come with the hands-free lift gate? My evolve+ does not have hands free lift. I thought it was ironic because my Nissan rogue had a hands-free liftgate.Does anyone's Premier come with the hands-free lift gate? Is your Rogue Platinum trim?My evolve+ does not have hands free lift. I thought it was ironic because my Nissan rogue had a hands-free liftgate.
Sry. Idk. I traded it in for my Ariya. But I was surprised that the Ariya, being all electric with all the bells and whistles didn’t have the auto lift gate. It has everything else, why not that ? Did they overlook it?Is your Rogue Platinum trim?
How can you "remote start" an Ariya from the app?🤔 my nissan app only allow me to turn on the climate or check status of my Premiere, not to remote start it. Am I missing something? And a far as the key fob goes, it only locks and unlocks doors, open and close rear hatch and has the panic button. Only the Japanese models and some European models has the remote start and remote park on the fob. The US doesn't have those features because of liability reasons ( according to Nissan USA after speaking with them over the phone about it).Does anyone's Premier come with the hands-free lift gate? As equipped, you can't remote start from the app. You can turn on the climate control, and you can make the lights flash or the horn sound. Supposedly, if you get the Virtual Key it uses a separate app that can remote start the car.How can you "remote start" an Ariya from the app?🤔 my nissan app only allow me to turn on the climate or check status of my Premiere, not to remote start it. I couldn't agree more with your question... and it's not a stupid one either. That's probably why the Ariya doesn't come with remote start except for the remote summons package that Japan has.As equipped, you can't remote start from the app. You can turn on the climate control, and you can make the lights flash or the horn sound. Perhaps a stupid question but... What's the point of "remote start" vs just turning on the climate control? What additional benefit would it give you?
