funny since HD radio has nothing to do with sound quality and is just sub-stations on your local radio stations.Just called the Ariya pre-sales number and talked to a rep. She would only say the radio "provided a rich quality sound". Now for me, that would imply HD but we will just have to wait until the car shows up to learn. If Nissan is touting the Ariya as sleek and modern and the radio is not HD then I think will be a fail on them.
While this is true about the signal, to my ears an HD sound is like CD quality sound or like FM sounds after listening to AM.funny since HD radio has nothing to do with sound quality and is just sub-stations on your local radio stations.
HD radio transmits in digital, so it can offer better audio quality, since most analog FM radio these days is highly compressed. When I get HD stations, they do sound more full and have actual bass and clear treble, however the signal strength various a lot more than standard FM. Still not as good as "CD" quality though.funny since HD radio has nothing to do with sound quality and is just sub-stations on your local radio stations.
I often see AM used for traffic and info announcements.AM is still a thing? 🤣🤣🤣. Thought that was just sports and conspiracy based talk radio.
