I'm in England and ordered an Ariya Advance trim on 21 May 2022. I've been given a build date of 18 November 2022. My Nissan dealer seems to think I'll get the car about 2 weeks after that, so some time in early to mid December.

However, they said "build date" and that to me seems like something that will be happening in Japan so unless they put some turbo chargers on the boat I can't see me receiving it this year. I hope I'm wrong and the date they've given me is the date it arrives in the UK, but for some utterly bizarre reason they can't seem to tell me that.

I'm still excited, though. Auto Express UK have named the Ariya their car of the year 2022.

Hi there ……not spoken to my dealer for a couple of weeks!! They don’t even have a demonstrator yet 😳 . Another local dealer has two cars but there both 63kw cars . I just sold my id3 73 kw so there no good to me . I think I said mines was due 16th of September. When the first ship docked on the Tyne with the news of another two ships due two weeks after I googled journey time 😂 . It said a container ship takes between 38/ 40 days . So I tend to agree with the turbocharger comment . Gonna speak to my dealer sometime this week for an update . Have you joined the British Aryia forum ? Still not much going on at he moment , obviously because of the lack of cars . I am desperate to get a hold of my own car 🤪

You're so right in all you say. I heard 45 days for shipment. If the date I've been given is factory build then with Christmas and New Year in there as well I'll be lucky to get anything before end of Jan 23. If it fell into Feb I'd get them to hold it for a 1 March 23 plate. Still hoping by some miracle that I do get it before Christmas. Only time will tell. Even if it will be next year, I just wish Nissan would fess up and tell me; it just makes them look as if they haven't got a clue how their own ordering system works. Perhaps that's true - may be they don't?!

Where is the British Ariya forum? Be grateful for a link I didn't know there was one.
