HUD not working

Overall I love my Premier Ariya, I mainly drive it in B mode with e-step off, seems to provide a very nice ride. I have, however, had problems with the electronics.

First, my Pro Pilot stopped working. I found that one of the switches in the lane assist category had been turned off (not sure how, maybe a software updates?), so switching that back on brought my Pro Pilot back.

Now, my HUD is offline, and it’s greyed out on the control panel. I’ve tried using the manual switch, but nothing happens. I emailed the personal assistant earlier this week, but have not yet heard back from them. I’m wondering if my 12 volt battery needs to be replaced? Build date for this car was 11-22, I received it in Feb/March. I know I probably need to take it to the dealer, but wondered if anyone else has had these problems?

Thank you in advance

Can you turn it on using the button to the left of the wheel for it? The one shown at 23 seconds in this video:

Thank you, I’ve tried this, but nothing happens :(
Oh I did this mistake! On the left side below your steering where where you see the headlight adjustment dial, there will be a button with a car and an ‘I’ in front. That toggles HUD on/off.

edit:never mind, I see you tried this already

I think if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the menu, there is a “reset” to factory setting. I am going by memory from the last time I used this menu path. Hopefully, that will get your HUD working again. Maybe?

Good idea, I tried it and reset everything, but HUD still isn’t working. Darn it, I guess I‘ll have to take it in to be serviced. I’ll let you all know what happens, although I can’t get it in for a while.

Shame you have to do that! I'm curious what it ends up being.

No bueno :(
Bit of an update, still not fixed. Took it to the dealership (they first tried to charge me 40 bucks to check the 12V battery, to which I said NOPE), then they called me to say ”the radio display is working fine.” To which I said, I know, it‘s the Heads Up Display that is not working. I also told them about how my accent lighting strip has gone dim along the dash (connected?). Ultimately they told me that they would have to check with the engineers as the Ariya is so new they haven’t the foggiest idea of how to go about fixing it (an honestly they didn’t even know what it was at first).

I have also had three different phone conversations with Nissan Customer Service. One agent told me to open a case number with the Nissan Consumer Affairs—but when I called them, the nice gentleman kept asking me why I was calling and I kept telling him “because I was told to open a case.” Sigh. Nissan is not making this easy.

I‘ll keep y’all posted as things unroll…
