Glad to hear ….. and CRV should have a decent resale value in a few years as is your plan. It’s the Honda CRV Hybrid. It’s not an EV. It’s like 33k for the FWD.
Thanks will see, luckily I have till June to buy so who knows may change my mind again.Glad to hear ….. and CRV should have a decent resale value in a few years as is your plan.
Sreek- just out of curiosity- what year was your Y?I had a Model Y which creaked like a 80’s chevy. If you’re expecting EVs to either get very cheap or not get ‘lame’ maybe you shouldn’t get one to start with. Also selling half a million leafs isn’t lame. Talk about customer service it took 8 weeks for Tesla to replace a bruised fender and a bill of 6k. You need to consider TCO in case of an EV, and teslas aren’t cheap wrt maintenance.
Hello..2019Sreek- just out of curiosity- what year was your Y?
My ariya is fabulous!! No problems at all. Everything works fine! I don't know what happened to make you feel the ariya is a bad car, sorry you lost out on a great car. I have the 1st ariya delivered to nor cal.. I couldn't be happier....I don't have buyers remorse at all.Fortunately I was able to get the refund. Only took me like 5 times of calling. Afterward I decided it was good thing I didn’t buy an Ariya. If they can’t even get the website working right the Airya is gonna be same.
What’s even more amazing is I follow one of the VW ID4 Facebook pages and see that car having problems non stop and their app is even worse. Yet somehow people just write it off like it’s not a big deal we’re early adopters things will improve with the software update. I would bet the Nissan Ariya will have some the same growing pains as well. You pay a premium over a comparable ICE vehicle yet all the functions and technology does not work like it supposed to and people say it’s no biggie. I just don’t get it. Guess people have low expectations and are more worried about looking like their saving the planet in an EV. I just start looking at the competition and all negatives and decided the Airya was not a good fit. Although sometimes I wish I could just go to the dealer and be like look at my new Airya, I got great financing on a 36 month loan and the dealer sold at MSRP, but then I would just have buyers remorse.
I did a lot of research and analysis. When I really started looking into the TCO and depreciation value it was not as good as I hoped. Also not being eligible for the ev tax credit didn’t help.My ariya is fabulous!! No problems at all. Everything works fine! This..I don’t quite agree with. Taste is subjectiveI did a lot of research and analysis. When I really started looking into the TCO and depreciation value it was not as good as I hoped. Also not being eligible for the ev tax credit didn’t help.
Lastly, my brother builds houses and has done really well for himself. He tends to have a pretty good pulse on things that are popular and hold their value. I showed him the Airya and he laughed at it and was not to impressed. The more I thought about the more he was right. It’s just kinda of a small plain SUV with nothing that really stands out. You look at Lyriq or the Ioniq 5 and 6 and they have the it factor. Like they just look unique and new age.
