I have Tesla solar panels installed at my house that use the same Tesla app, and after updating the app I can now see charging membership for non-Teslas:Just a few days ago people were posting that Tesla was trialing their new "Magic Dock" CCS adapter-equipped Superchargers and now the systems are already live at multiple stations as can be seen in this video that just went up today. It's only in a few stations in the Northeast and Cali for now apparently but seeing as how rapidly Tesla got this set up then it wouldn't be surprising to see it proliferate relatively quickly especially at newly built stations in places were there are no other fast chargers. Great news for us non-Tesla EV owners!
The Ariya will continue to stand out because of current limited quantity (10k reserved + dealer orders), and will likely remain so until Nissan builds it here in North America using local battery materials and components to qualify for tax credit.I bought the Ariya to stand out, I don't want to see many other Ariya's out and about and be another watered down car like tesla.

Tesla's all seem so vanilla to me.I want owners of those ugly tesla's (that is basically every other car in California) to keep that same energy loving Tesla. Don't jump to non-tesla now that the chargers opened.

Teslas are great, they have the smoothest ride, best build quality, top notch technology etc. Keep that car!
For real. Seems like they just did a car template and they just kept it that way didn't add anything visually appealing lolTesla's all seem so vanilla to me.
No worries. It's pretty big news lol.Oops. I double posted. Didn't see yours until now.
I will admit the model S looks decent. It's Looks better than the other ones, has a sporty look although build quality I heard is terrible (door handles falling off, insulation issues etc) and I know Dave from out of spec traded in his model S for a model 3 and felt the model 3 was better lol. I think the model S is like 100k more right?Tesla does a lot of things right but I can't stand the interiors on the Model 3 and Y - putting everything on one center screen is ergonomically idiotic to me, especially since they don't even offer a heads up display like on the Ariya. Also the exterior design on their SUVs leaves a lot to be desired. The Model S on the other hand is a very sleek looking car and always has been.
But I really have to hand it to them on this Magic Dock rollout. They came up with an ingenious solution to equipping their US chargers with built-in CCS adapters and did it quickly together with the supporting infrastructure like modifications to the app and the signage. Also it's impressive they engineered an adapter for their chargers instead of just expecting CCS cars to provide their own. Now we just need to hope they'll keep this momentum going because this will be great for EV adoption overall if it spreads to a lot more of their network.
Hopefully this also lights a fire under other EV charger providers because if they continue to take their time putting in small stations here and there Tesla will eat their lunch with how aggressive they are with expanding their network.
yes we do need somone to confirem that the cable can reach the port!!!One thing I noted, the right side Ariya charge port may well fit these charging locations correctly, though it has to be tested. Most of these tests the vehicle parked in the wrong spot due to the cord being too short.

Yup, I commented on that in the original video that we're lucky our charge port is on the right front so in theory we can use the Superchargers without taking up the wrong parking spot by just pulling in nose first. We just need someone to actually try it and see. If no one else tries it out before then I might try to swing by the Superchargers in my area this weekend and just see if the cable has the length to reach my Ariya's port even if I can't plug it in yet. From what I understand the cable length on the Magic Dock chargers and the regular ones is the same.yes we do need somone to confirem that the cable can reach the port!!!

Nice to know but I prefer my free EVGo unlimited charging.Just a few days ago people were posting that Tesla was trialing their new "Magic Dock" CCS adapter-equipped Superchargers and now the systems are already live at multiple stations as can be seen in this video that just went up today. According to the video the Tesla app indicates where CCS-equipped chargers are located on the map. I'm planning on downloading it to try it out and to have for hopefully future use but haven't had a chance to yet. The free EVGo charging is nice but the size of their network is peanuts compared to Teslas. On the 190 mile drive I did out to Phoenix this past weekend I passed 3 active Tesla stations on the way there with another large one being built and zero EVGo stations until I was actually in Phoenix.Nice to know but I prefer my free EVGo unlimited charging.
BTW, is there an app of where these “Magic Dock” SC are located at?
One Hwy 10, there is a Tesla SC once you cross the state line into AZ. It’s right next to the Hwy. No thanks for me. I take my Volvo on road trips instead.According to the video the Tesla app indicates where CCS-equipped chargers are located on the map. It shows on the app but only ones in California open are 2 in the Bay area.[

In the video, the YT’er said there are 2 two Magic Dock stations with CCS in California. I wonder where those 2 locations are at? Hopefully, one is in Barstow, CA (half way to Vegas from OC/LA/SD.
