Level 3 Charging Issue

I am attempting to fast charge at a level 3 charger and am having an issue. Both stations are coming up with the error “vehicle timeout.” Has anyone seen that issue before and/or have any ideas what to do?

Have you called the charging company to help trouble shoot over the phone?

I did try. It got disconnected. Luckily, it worked on the 4th try.

It’s a Petro-Canada station. Fortunately, it worked on the 4th try - 2nd try at the 2nd charger (of 2).

What was the result then? What can we learn from your experience with “vehicle timeout”? Was it the charger or the Ariya?

Hard to say. The only thing I did differently on #4 was insert the charger before even touching the charge station screen. On that one, when I inserted, I heard the car’s usual “charger cable inserted” sound that I usually hear when charging, which I think is indicative of the locking mechanism engaging.

There is a certain clunkiness to these chargers and sometimes you just have to remove it and put it back in. Yes, you should plug it in before trying to start the charge as that tells the charger the car is ready to charge.
