Meta Quest 2 Headset Issues

Hi everyone, just wondering if those who have received their Meta Quest 2 headset are having issues like me. The Ariya app works great, and was really fun to play around with.

However my issue is trying to get anything else to download on the device. For example under the Notifications, it says there’s a free game you can get. (Beat Saber). But when you click to download it I get an error message, it says the query couldn’t be performed.

I have downloaded the Meta app on my iPhone, created an account and added payment information. But when I try to pair up the app to the headset, it doesn’t work. It says there should be a 5 digit passcode that appears, but I had to go into Settings, System, About to find it. But even after entering this code, the headset still won’t pair up.

The headset appears to have some kind of Ariya admin account that I’m already logged into, and can’t seem to change it.

I’ve seen others online have this issue with pairing, and their solution seems to be, to do a Factory Reset. I figured out how to do that, but I’m worried it will wipe out the Ariya experience app. Any advice, any other having this problem? Please let me know what you think, thanks.

P.S. When my son played the Ariya app, he noticed it was “April 27” on the cars display. So maybe that’s our delivery date?!? At least it seems much more likely than the “late fall” promise, haha.

Can I ask a dumb question? Do you have to have a facebook account to access the Aryia content?
That’s a good question, no you do not. That’s what the box says though, and you might if you buy a regular headset off the shelf. But for this version, it seems to automatically take you into the Ariya app whenever you turn it on.

The detailed instructions explain that you need a Meta account, and sign up through the app to really get started. (This is apparently different from a Facebook account, which I don’t have.). Then you’re supposed to pair it with the headset, which is the issue I’m having.

Anyway hope that helps, good luck!
I’m not sure how to do that. From what I’ve read, I think that has to be done through the app too. But once again, I can’t seem to sync the actual headset with the app.
You can try Sidequest. I've used it with my 1st Gen Quest. You should be able to back up the Ariya app with it, at least.
I used the head set. Watched it twice, cool but now it’s back in the box and will be a. Christmas gift for a nephew I want a real car
I watched and experience all I needed from the Nissan Ariya Experience, then I factory reset the Quest and added it to my own account.
I can now download freely. No more errors.

After doing a factory reset, are you able to download the Nissan ARIYA VR Experience app from the App Lab back to the Oculus?
I just got mine today. I've played a lot of VR games, but the simulated driving portion of the Ariya app gave me pretty bad motion sickness. Be careful and close your eyes if you start feeling queasy.
I felt the same thing but I kept my eyes open

Yes, I did a factory reset, and now I’m all paired up, and was able to re download the Nissan app. I was able to get the free Beat Saber game, and bought quite a few more. Ultra wings, Job Simulator, Drunken Bar Fight, Plank Experience. They are all incredibly fun, and I can believe how cool this technology is!!!

You should try Virtual Virtual Reality. It's kind of like a comedic version of Inception.

I just watched the trailer, that does seem like fun, I’ll check it out for sure. I’m blown away by how many games and experiences there are. This is easily the best Christmas present I’ve ever gotten!

HI. I am still waiting for my headset. Is this common? Is there a Nissan email we could use to ask for status?
No word on mine. I can imagine that there’s one person assigned to packing and shipping these — slowly working through a list! ;)
I have not received either the VR headset or even an email saying its shipping. I called the Nissan reservation number to inquire, gave the information about filling out my shipping address. Was told I should receive an email by the end of the year. I replied "There are only two weeks left in the year." OK they are short staffed like everywhere else. I will chill out and enjoy the holidays. Ice storm coming so need to get a book to read.

And checking it twice.
