I agree EVgo is currently unimpressive. I have 6 Electrify America stations in 5-mile radius and only one EvGo and that too 50kw peak charging speed. Hoping the charging infrastructure improves over time. I think Nissan did a good job going with EVGo, since all the Electrify America stations are overcrowded with KIA/Hyundai/BMW/Mercedes/VW/Porche etc. Most of the manufacturers provide two/three-year unlimited free charging with Electrify America.EVgo is a pretty unimpressive charging network, so this benefit may be useless depending on where you live and typically travel to. I'd probably never use it in a year. And the battery warranty is the federally required minimum for any new EV.
Especially in California where the electricity prices are very high, free EVgo/Electrify America charging plans will go a long way. I have been exclusively charging my Ioniq5 at Electrify America since March and saved around $1500 so far.My plan is to use EVGO when I travel. California does have them everywhere each state does vary. I have 3 plug ins hookups 3 miles from my house. I plan to charge at home but it says at station you can get 80% in 40 min. Less time if I am just topping off. I will see what it cost me to charge at home vs inconvenience of sitting by charger for 30-40 min. If value is there it might be a good benefit if I am out around town. My chargers are at a grocery chain but there are others. Maybe more will be built in your state the system seems to be growing but free is free. It seems it will be learn as we go forward. Good Luck Did you get the email from Nissan?
I have my 2019 Leaf SL+ for about 3 yrs. I‘ve never found issues with EVgo charging on the road Myself. I see this offer is great. Anyone has any info about the $500 EVgo charging credit for the first 10000 reservationists offer? Will this combine with this 1 yr offer?EVgo is a pretty unimpressive charging network, so this benefit may be useless depending on where you live and typically travel to. I'd probably never use it in a year. And the battery warranty is the federally required minimum for any new EV.
