If the Ariya order agreement fails to qualify for $7500 tax rebate, I'll consider ordering a Mach-E instead.

There will be waivers in 2023 since even after the battery mineral rules post 12/31 there will be confusion and loopholes. Everything is based on "value" as per law.They might not qualify for the battery portion, depending.
2024 is when the real problem begins because NO critical battery mineral can be from "foreign entities of concern" (China, Russia, etc) which is almost impossible at the moment because most cathode and anode processing is done in China.
