Nissan eager to leverage US tax credit

Just read this article and it’s not clear to me what the message is? I’m very eager to leverage the US tax credit also on my Ariya reservation, lol. But I’m not sure exactly what Nissan can do to create this “leverage”? Here is the Nissan press release.

The most obvious thing in the short term is to move Ariya production to the US (TN plant). Longer term, come out with more EVs, also produced in the US.

But when thinking long term, moving production of the Ariya to Tennessee only helps if the battery components and minerals meet the requirements of the new law since those conditions go into effect on January 1, 2023.
