Nissan is launching two new variants of its Ariya electric model in Europe. There are no changes to the body. One is a new top-of-the-line model, and the other is a more affordable trim to make the Ariya eligible for subsidies in some countries.

The latter is the front-wheel drive Ariya Engage, available with both battery sizes (63 and 87 kWh). The smaller battery version has a WTLP range of 404 kilometres, while the model with an 87 kWh battery and 178 kW front-wheel drive can get as far as 536 kilometres on one charge. More realistic range figures for this drive combination can be found in our drive report on the Nissan Ariya.

Here's the higher end one. Weird how the same names are used for very different sets of trim features in different regions:
Nissan's second new variant, the Ariya Evolve+, is a top-of-the-line all-wheel-drive model with more power and faster acceleration. With 290 kW of power, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 5.1 seconds. The Evolve+ features 20-inch alloy wheels with aero covers and a luxurious Nappa Blue leather seat trim.
😳 OMG. THere must be a world wide surplus of blue leather! Argh.
