Nissan Supplied Charger

Has anyone else tried their Nissan-supplied charger? I only used it with the 120-volt plug adapter. The unit specs say it pulls 12 amps which gave me 4 miles in 1.5 hours of charging. I will complete my new 50 amp plug this week. Then I will check the performance of the 220-volt mode. The specs for the 220-volt state the charger will draw 30 amps continuously.

Congrats on your new Ariya, SFCruiser!

It worked fine for me on my 50-amp plug the first night she was home. I've since installed a Wallbox and use that primarily at home.

Enjoy your ride!
Thanks for posting!

Guess you just insert the Nema plug into the adapter when using level one charging?
Thanks for the image. It looks physically identical to the 6.6kw / 27.5 amp EVSE's that came out with the 2nd gen LEAFs back in 2018, just an updated label to match the new Nissan branding.
I own 2 of them and they have both been working flawlessly for 5 years running.
4.5 years ago, the day after I got my 2018 Leaf, I had electricians install two NEMA 14-50 wall outlets in my garage, one outlet per car bay, to support Level 2 charging. Only ever used one outlet. Drove my new Ariya home this past week, plugged the supplied EVSE into the extra outlet, and the car started charging right away. No issues.
