Nissan Survey

Some time back I got a Nissan survey that I was only able to complete partially before work pulled me away long enough for it to time out. Last week I got a J.D. Powers survey, and today I got a second survey from Nissan. It's really nice to see Nissan taking an interest and looking to get feedback on the car.

I asked for true 1-pedal driving, a max charge limit settable as part of the charge schedule (charge to 100% if not using the charge schedule), and wireless Android Auto.
I also wrote a small book about improvements I'd like to see in the app.

Did others get this latest survey?

Yes. That was one long long long survey. I would venture to say someone or even a group at Nissan has been reading the Ariya forums. Many of the questions matches to what people have been saying from one pedal, color choices and costs for the car. I love how it asks how cam they improve Android Auto. Damn, cut the cord! I for one would not have bought the car without the reservation discount AND the $7500 tax break.

I hope everyone takes the time to respond to the survey. It is long and looks for great insight of the Ariya owners.

I received but I haven’t done the Nissan survey. I will tell them to remove the mfgr add on items to lower the MSRP price.
Engage: $39,999. It looks better than $43,XXX
Venture+: Eliminate this trim
Evolve +: $49,999. It looks better than $53,XXX
Empower+: Cancel this trim and bring back Premiere+. Premiere sounds much better than Empower+ because Premiere sounds more luxurious.

all trims should have standard outside mirror light indicators. MUST HAVE! (My biggest peeve if Nissan boasts about safety features).

I have not received the Nissan survey yet, but haven't had my Ariya for very long, either. Definitely looking forward to it!

I completed my survey. Towards the very end, they should have asked if we have any further comments or suggestions prior to submitting the survey. I did not get a chance to copy and paste what I wrote above because it did not ask.

WASTED OPPRORTUNITY FOR OUR ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK!
I completed the Nissan survey, for whatever it was worth. I wonder how much of the feedback they honestly put into practice on the next generation of cars.

The JD Power survey did ask for additional feedback at the end. It was nice to be able to voice my opinions/wishes - like having instant torque and not torque preceded by a very annoying lag which I personally find more than a bit disingenuous in an EV.

The JD Power survey was also VERY long (hint: don't do it around bedtime because the endless questions and categories WILL put you to sleep). They did seem to touch on all the bases.
In your Nissan survey, please mention that we need a clock widget to be added to our infotainment screen. This was something I forgot to include in my survey. We need a real clock, not a puny Timex digital wristwatch size!

There is a clock widget, the numbers are almost 1 inch tall.

I doubt it’s different from Canada to US, but we definitely have the widget for a clock. If you need me to take a pic of it, let me know.

Yes, we would definitely want to see what it looks like. Maybe we have it too but I haven't figured out how to do it?

Ok. Since you have it, I will try to load the widget next time I'm in the car. Good to know it's available!

Yes, I mentioned the same things, even though I don't need all those things, but it would be good to have as choices. In fact a charged to 100% before leaving work, but found that dropped my efficiency since I lost out on regeneration since the battery was too full. I could have stopped my charge earlier, but was trying out a full charge, so unless driving directly up big hills, it's not that useful to charge to 100%.

They had those questions about the center console, and I selected having a more useful console that was fixed, instead of the motorized one with less standard storage. Also said having more cargo space for the future models would be better.

I also asked to have the ProPilot 2.0 map increased and the app to work better. Overall, I found the quiet ride and hardware features made the car very good for my usage.

I said the same about the center console. The motorized movement is nifty, but really more of a gimmick than anything. The car has (for me) plenty of storage, but more is always good.
I haven't done mine yet. Does it have a due date?

5/30/23 is the due date. After I did the first survey, they sent another one. In the second one, they asked your opinions about one-pedal vs e-step, haptic control, power storage, ...

I found the armrest position to the front is comfortable, but a bit high. I drove the RAV4 and felt that center armrest was too far back. My previous car had a sliding armrest piece which is probably the better option, since the storage was good but you could adjust the position of the cushion .
Can someone mention in the survey that Nissan needs to remove the annoying 3 seat warning light in the back? Make it go away permanently otherwise newbies would think there’s something wrong with their seat belts. Perhaps a simple OTA will do the job but let Nissan know how incredibly annoying it is in the survey. TIA!
I will do the survey sometimes today or prolly tomorrow.
I will compile a list of all improving features. If you could please put them here, then I will put them in the list.
Thanks.
Start off with Hank's post above, on my Notepad as #1.

This is my list so far:
Ariya Survey
  • 3 seat warning lights in the back
  • true 1-pedal driving
  • a max charge limit settable as part of the charge schedule (charge to 100% if not using the charge schedule)
  • color of choices
  • costs for the car
  • CD slot
  • all trims should have standard outside mirror light indicators
  • a more useful center console that was fixed, instead of the motorized one with less standard storage
  • more cargo space
  • MyNissan app interface and usefulness
  • diver's side armrest too low compared to center console armrest

What do you guys and gals think about the driver’s side arm rest? Too low compared to the center console armrest? Add that to your survey if you feel the same…?
