The following article came through via my Google alert for the Ariya. I don't know that the sources are reliable and/or what pre-orders in China mean in relation to potential pre-orders in the US, but it kinda seems less-than-encouraging...? I don't know, personally, I need something sooner than later and I'm thinking it might make sense to get a hybrid and let things shake out in the EV world--at least the non-Tesla EV world--a bit more before buying one. Kind of a bummer--I was excited to get a unique EV (see earlier Tesla comment)--but I could always switch over and/or at least maybe the second-year Ariya will fix whatever doesn't work about the first one, have better range, etc.

New this year, and already out are the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Volkswagen ID.4, and the Ford Mustang Mach-E. In the 3rd quarter will come the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and in the 4th quarter the Nissan Ariya. The Ioniq 5 is about $5K more than the projected Ariya cost, but has capabilities commensurate with the cost.
