Non Reservation New Order Delivery Times?

Now that at least Nissan USA has opened the build process for the Ariya to all, it would be interesting to learn who has taken advantage and ordered one, what the dealer says, and how long it takes to receive.

Thank you.

Are orders actually open or is it just the “build and price” on Nissan’s website? I don’t think orders have opened again.

Oh that would be interesting! Especially if it "arrived" before reserved ones. Hmmmm... I reserved a Premiere but I kind of want a Platinum...

IMO it’s too bad Nissan continues to think blue gray leather and no other optional interior color in the platinum + trim.. I originally reserved a Platinum + in Red (before they stopped offering red) with the hopes that they would eventually offer a different offer interior color in the reservation portal that wouldn’t lash. Finally had to change my reservation the longer I thought about having to live with a light blue interior which is not for me! Perhaps that’s why Nissan no longer offers a red exterior color in the Platinum + because that interior/exterior combination clashes.

Yeah, I don’t get the blue interior. Why not black or light grey. FWIW I have a black platinum reserved.

Yeah you'd think plain grey interior would go better with most colors. I saw a Europe-based review video and it was one with the copper exterior and it had the blue-grey interior. Kind of a bit too blue, but I liked that it was not too dark. That combination was never available for reservation in the Platinum, but it's available to "build and price" now... I settled for Premiere in copper/charcoal, but would have liked a beige or light grey interior.
I ordered the Platinum + and at the time the little they showed looked like a black/grey interior. Now that I've seen real pics and vids of it I absolutely hate this baby blue interior. What the F are they thinking? Giving the top spec no choice but this horrible interior? A majority of people would prefer a dark interior, not this ugliness which for sure won't age well. My sense of regret is at a thousand right now.

I submitted a request for a quote on an Evolve+ AWD through the website, then talked with my dealer. They said they were expecting late summer or fall for AWD deliveries of non-reservation cars.

Just so you know there are two downsides to consider (other than losing some features) if you do elect to place a lower trim AWD purchase with your dealer outside of the reservation process: #1.You forfeit your $1240 reservation credit. #2. Only possible hope for any tax credit relief (as things stand right now) is if Nissan develops and begins to offer a different lease model that will allow lessor to purchase at the end of lease. Of course neither one of these details may be a deal breaker if you just can’t stand the baby blue interior you’re stuck with in the Platinum + trim.
