I just had a lengthy text conversation with a sales staff member from Nissan of Kirkland. They are currently scheduling test drives this weekend for their Black/Black Evolve +. Apparently it just arrived and was ordered as a stock unit. It is currently offered for sale at $52,200 MSRP + a $5000. “regional market adjustment fee”.

I saw that! Sheesh!
Heres some food for thought for any Ariya reservationist having second thoughts if they should pull the trigger…
If the current EV market can in fact bear Ariya MSRP + $5K that’s $13,740 more than a reservation holder would pay if the reservation holders federal tax liability is $7500.00 or greater. ie $1240.00 reservation credit + 7,500.00 tax credit combined with $5,000.00 market adjustment fee = $13,740.00 potential savings for reservation holders.

My dealer, Hayward Nissan in Norther California told me that they would be honoring reservation holders mark but any cars they sold outside of the reservation list would have a regional mark up. Sounds fair to me.

I just was quoted 48450 at a Seattle area dealer where my vehicle located. No MSRP markup.
Was the 5000 for a sale to a reservation holder or just anyone? I would be curious of that since on some threads they have stated that Nissan has communicated with dealerships that reservations are supposed to be sold at MSRP.

I think they are "just anyone" Ariyas, at least anyone with an extra 5k!

As stated : the Nissan dealership in Kirkland had ordered their Black/Black Evolve + “as a stock unit”. So this was not an Ariya that had been pre-ordered by a private reservationist. However, it shouldn‘t surprise anyone if any Ariya‘s that becomes an orphan by a reservationist ( if they decide not to buy ) will likely be advertised to the general public with a similar or higher mark up.
