3818 Views 92 Replies 23 Participants Last post by  hwesley48
I know many of us are waiting for our preordered Platinum+ cars to arrive. I have seen Platinum+ cars at dealers in person and on line and I know some have said they have actually taken deliver. what I want to know is how many of us with preorders are now driving E4orce cars?
My order # is 10596 and it kills me that someone can go into a dealer n buy a car today but I am still waiting

I'm still waiting as well. I don't think the order number makes a difference. However your location may dictate how soon you get yours. It looks like California is starting to see them and I believe someone on here posted that they received theirs in Chicago.

I live in So-Cal and received my Platinum+ on 4/1 (reservation #27459), but received no notice ahead of time that my car was on the way or had arrived to the dealership. The night before, I was in the area of my selected dealership and went in just to check if they had any news or updates when my car would arrive. After a little while they come back and said, "Your Platinum+ arrived today and it is ready to go now." I was not prepared, so came back the next day to finish and take my new car home. I was kinda mad there was no heads up and I felt if I didn't actually go in to check the day before they wouldn't have called to let me know that my car arrived. I was emailing with them a few days before and they kept telling me they had no news and I would hear from Nissan with a date.

I think it's really clear that reservation number is meaningless. Seems to be more location, model, and dealer based.

Hopefully they sell better. There are literally 1,000s of FWD Ariya’s available across the US. Not sure why.

Bizarrely, Nissan seems to have flooded the market with Engage trim... Within 100 miles of me there are 41 on cars.com and 25 of those are Engage. It'll take a while to sell all those and I suspect they'll end up having to discount them.

BTW, not all of the cars on cars.com are actually for sale... My dealer has their demo car listed there too.

Nissan may have been trying to hit a price point since the Engage trim does offer a lot of standard options for a relatively low price point. Venture loses a lot of the amenities and costs more, all for the sake of a bigger battery.

But the availability makes me think Nissan missed the call. Venture too expensive for what you get, and Engage's amenities and pricing don't offset the shorter range to entice buyers. Customers will pay more to move up a trim level or move to next brand.

Wait! What? I'm also in Chicago, have a pretty low reservation number 107xx, and have not heard a PEEP from my dealer about mine. I figured all of the deliveries so far were on the coasts.

I am reservation 13xxx. Waiting on my Platinum+ in ABQ, NM.
Bummer that reservation # doesnt matter... that's [email protected]#[email protected]#[email protected]!
I can't wait to drive this car!

Plus, I spoke with my dealer today and was told they have several Ariyas, but havent taken delivered of any AWD yet.
So the rollout has started, but it will probably take another month for the tumbleweeds to make to NM all the way from CA. lol

Adding insult to injury, I did a nationwide search for AWD Ariya on Edmunds, and while there are 47 Platinum nationwide, there are also 12 Engage AWD, 3 Engage + AWD, and 3 Evolve + AWD. Based on this sampling, at least 28% of the AWD Ariya coming to USA, are not for reservation holders, and are not Platinum!!

I am also a 13xxx reservation. Waiting on my Platinum+ in Dayton, OH.
I just saw my car on the dealer website and called - They informed me the car has been built and is now waiting for transport with an ETA of 5/12...

But why was YOUR car on the dealer website AND why did you have to find out via the website & not the dealer directly?? I hope that's not a prelude to your purchasing experience. Crossing my fingers for you!

Yeah, that's a fair point. The salesman said something about them not contacting customers until the vehicles were in transit and they will take it off the website, but who knows. I have had a positive experience with the dealer so far, but no deals have been made... If things go sideways I'll certainly post my experience here...

GRRRR, I don't for the life of me understand Nissan's thinking or lack of thinking when it comes to those of us who put our money down in good faith supporting the car we believed in.
I understand that shipping cars to different location and different ports and in different configurations is a logistical issue but to see cars going to dealers as "stock" that match cars that were preordered and not yet delivered is hard to justify

I don't want to get you riled up but some of this "math ain't mathing". If you ordered the vehicle & have a valid down payment on that vehicle then it is your vehicle until you decide it is not. No one else in the world, outside of Nissan & you, should know that it's on the way.

I would be highly disturbed if my dealership operated in this manner. The ONLY reason my spec is going to be delivered to my dealership is that I chose for it to be delivered there. They didn't assist me in my process. I just chose them bc they happen to be my closest Nissan dealer. I didn't even buy my Murano from them. No one should know it's there until I decide that I don't want to purchase that vehicle. In fact, my expectation is that the moment after they find out my vehicle is in transit they notify me that my vehicle is in transit not taking pictures and posting on their website.

But, as you said, you've had good experiences with this dealership & I hope that you continue to do so. I, however, am remaining very cynical and preparing for proverbial battle for the right not to get screwed over buying my vehicle.

Now on top of that imagine the Dealership letting other people sit in the car, test drive it, etc. Or putting their addons because they do that with every car they receive. The dealership system of selling cars is archaic and not consumer oriented.

ALL. OF. THIS. My intention is to tell the dealer not to do anything to the vehicle when it arrives. Don't even take the plastic off. I don't need any of your add-ons.

My intent is the same, especially not to have them drill the front license plate into the front bumper. Although from all the stories, I’ve heard some of us may not get the word from the dealer until it’s too late.
