My experience is that just because they say they have the car doesn’t mean they actually have it on the lot now.
I am also in Chicagoland and I got my call last Thursday that it'll be 3 or 4 weeks for delivery for me (Res 107xx). I got my call directly from Nissan after being a very, very squeaky wheel.I am not in a hurry because I don't need that car but I would like to have that car. I am a 75 yo tech nerd. This may be the last car that I will purchase. I am also curious as to how Nissan treats its customers.
Thanks for the information and the offer. I will definitely reach out to Nissan and rattle some pots and pans. But, I still would like to have my Ariya platinum plus.I am also in Chicagoland and I got my call last Thursday that it'll be 3 or 4 weeks for delivery for me (Res 107xx). My suggestion would be to give them a call & start rattling some pots & pans about why this is taking so long.
Also, if you get tires of waiting you can take my all black Premier off my hands! 😂
So I just finished speaking with the Nissan reservationist. They are as clueless as I am about a delivery date. The representative claimed that they do not have access to shipping dates or other tracking information. All the rep could say was that it's a waiting game and referred me back to the dealers, which are totally clueless. So, at this point I'm not sure what Nissan is up to. This is really poor customer service. Thanks for the information and the offer. I will definitely reach out to Nissan and rattle some pots and pans. Now Tweet at them & talk about how ridiculous this is & that you'll go out & just buy Model Y (making sure that you're tagging all the right people as you do so) since they're readily available. Then go to their Facebook group and message the Nissan team that this is ridiculous. Those pots and pans need to CLANK!!! If you wanna link the tweet I'll RT. I'm not huge on the platform but I'm not small either. So I just finished speaking with the Nissan reservationist. They are as clueless as I am about a delivery date. Agree. I lit up every youtube, instagram, and FB post with rage about what was going on and eventually got their attention and Nissan Corp reached out. Still pretty useless directed me to the dealer who is also useless. They did have the dealer to reach out to me and basically tell me they don't know either. Now Tweet at them & talk about how ridiculous this is & that you'll go out & just buy Model Y (making sure that you're tagging all the right people as you do so) since they're readily available. These are the things that worked for me getting their attention.
Somewhere, a bunch of Nissan employees are giving themselves high fives and popping champagne.Agree. After I found what I wanted on my own and was able to buy it and have it shipped, The same Nissan CS group reached out to me asking if I'd had any updates from my dealer on status and I told them I found it on my own and have had it for a week.
They told me congrats and asked for my shirt size and offered to send me a T-shirt.
I'm still waiting on the T-Shirt. I'm guessing sometime in the fall. Probably get a call in July that if I still want XL I'll have to wait another 9 months.Somewhere, a bunch of Nissan employees are giving themselves high fives and popping champagne.
Diligent customer did our work for us and now he's a happy customer, all for the cost of one t-shirt!!
This is the best bit of irony on the forum so far. Just don't expect that shirt in passion red. 🤭I'm still waiting on the T-Shirt. I'm guessing sometime in the fall. Probably get a call in July that if I still want XL I'll have to wait another 9 months.

My understanding is that the Passion Red T-shirt won’t be available until fall of 2024. However Nissan is stepping up and throwing in VR software for the infamous ramen robot demo just because marketing believes it’s worth the wait.My car has finally arrived at the dealer and I'm going tomorrow to finalize everything. I have a copy of all the previous MSRP info and the confirmation that they will honor MSRP but I'm sure there will be some surprises or annoyances while I'm there. Any tips for me on things to look out for? This is the first time I've ever reserved a car. I'm excited that the car is here but dreading the dealer buying process. (Seriously why does it always seem to take so long?!)
There will be a few factory (port, really) add-ons. Illuminated kick plates and exterior lighting effects, floor mats, a paint upcharge probably... Otherwise, just be ready to say "no" to the dealer things like paint and fabric protection and extended warranty (unless you want those things). My car has finally arrived at the dealer and I'm going tomorrow to finalize everything. So you have the window sticker info (pdf)? Or at least go to look at it to see all the items. Also, estimate the TTL charges so you can know what they are, I know in California on the DMV website you can calculate the estimation. My car has finally arrived at the dealer and I'm going tomorrow to finalize everything. Definitely don’t want to consider leasing your Ariya, at least at this time with the way Nissan has structured the Ariya lease program. That is of course unless if you just want to rent your Ariya for a few years. Seems pretty short sided to me that Nissan is only offering an Ariya lease program where Nissan retains 100% ownership during and after the lease period ends with no option for the lessee to purchase the residual value. So you have the window sticker info (pdf)? Also know the discount terms, if any, as there are special finance/lease offers if you are using those. They may try to sell you other options.
In fairness to your dealer, they're also at the mercy of the lack of communication and information from Nissan. The dealers are actually doing a good job, IMOSo I just finished speaking with the Nissan reservationist. They are as clueless as I am about a delivery date. I get your point, but it does not excuse Nissan not having better communication with its early reservationist. It seems that they just want us to give up and go away.In fairness to your dealer, they're also at the mercy of the lack of communication and information from Nissan. It's this part exactly. These vehicles aren't being handcrafted, they're mass-produced. The lack of communication & transparency is appalling. The part to remember is that at the end of this the expectation is that you're going to spend over 60K for a vehicle. That's not chump change to my budget.I get your point.

My feeling exactly. I can understand all the delays. I can't understand the horrendous lack of communication and botched roll out. It's this part exactly. Completely agree, Nissan is 100% in wrong here, they've been terrible and sadly very arrogant. The sad part is the Ariya is a great EV (I have an Empower+ ) and they're blowing it with this lack of communication and incentives. Most manufacturers have incentives now, sadly Nissan barely has anything to offer let alone the Ariya having nothing. You can't even lease an Ariya if you want to buy it at the end. TerribleI get your point.

I just got off the phone with Nissan North America consumer affairs. They have no information also. The only thing that the rep could do was flag my account with the complaint in hopes that it may attract attention. It's this part exactly.
