The 2019 Leaf SL was my first EV. Ariya was going to be my second, but not if they have crippled e-Pedal so that the vehicle won't come to a complete stop. Drove the Volkswagen ID.4 which behaved in the same way Nissan's video on "e-Pedal Step" describes and I absolutely hated it -- despite going to the dealership planning to purchase the ID.4 because I thought it was beautiful and ticked all the boxes for technology. I felt like I was driving an electric car that was pretending to be a gasoline-powered car. Not only that, but there is more kick when I floor it in my Leaf SL which has considerably less horsepower than there was in the Volkswagen ID.4. The thing seemed like it was tuned to have the same slower acceleration of a gas-powered vehicle.
Anyway, no one-pedal is a deal-breaker on Ariya after driving the ID.4. Everything else can be great, but it is Nissan's fault for converting me to one-pedal driving with the incredibly awesome e-Pedal in the Leaf and then taking it away.
