I guess you love the agony of waiting and waiting when you can simply fly down to Tustin and pickup your White Platinum 4force at Tustin Nissan. It has your name all over it!

Call and ask for Nick (GM), Linda Weber (Sales Director), or my sales guy, (Jonathan).

Note, I get nothing out of the referral. It's members helping members on this forum.

The port of entry is likely Los Angeles, and @Hank has an interesting idea to make arrangements with Tustin (the better to make the Earth Day delivery target!).

I'm sure they can swap out the 19" wheels with the 20" wheels on their lot. Let them work for your biz. Besides, get free free rugged rubber floor mats . Nick can help you with accessories for Tustin customers, and or extended warranty deal. Win Win!
Ok Hank you got me thinking.
I looked at their inventory and then I looked at the milage from my house to them. it is 458 mi. Now I intend to trade in my leaf plus and even though it is a plus, in reality the 225 mile range drops to about 180 real world on the hwy.
That means I would have to charge at least three times on the trip and given that the leaf has a built in "feature not a bug" that slows the charging way down when multiple charges are done in a 24 hour period I don't think I can swing it.

I wonder if the dealerships can arrange to transport the Ariya? Or as suggested, fly down and drive Ariya back, and consider checking out selling Leaf to a CarMax type place? Hmmm...

If that's the case, I would not drive down. Sell the Leaf to your local CarMax. Fly down to OC Airport. Sign the contract and have them deliver it to your destination (or half way). Call Linda or Nick and see what they will do to earn your business.

Fyi ,Tustin Nissan and Downey Nissan are the same owner. You get double the inventory of whatever they have in stock.

Jayway, Hank may be right. The dealers up in the bay area are subpar (being nice today). Many ignored me when I visited the showroom. Guess I should have looked a little more presentable when going to buy a car. The one near Serramonte allowed us to sit in the car but we couldn't start it or take it for a test drive. The one in Burlingame ignored us completely. The others I called on the phone regarding my plans to reserve one but they wouldn't provide any info on their sales practice. The dealers down south are built on volume so they will wheel and deal a little more. One of the Tustin sales guy was going to look into how much to transport to bay area. But after the monthend I didn't hear from him again. The dealer I bought mine from, I would not recommend for a variety of reasons. One Nissan dealer offered me $25K for my 2021 Tesla M3 to trade-in. Their offers seem low so it may be good to see what other online car buyers are offering before going to Nissan. Your $1240 discount is accepted everywhere. It doesn't hurt to see what available and make a call.

You can get more than $30K for your M3 if you sell it yourself. It shouldn’t be hard.

When we were making room for our ID.4 purchase a year or so ago, we sold one of our Leafs to CarMax -- the dealership actually suggested that we would likely get a better offer from a CarMax type place instead. And we did, it was at the height of when used car prices were really crazy.

With Telsa cutting their prices, selling EVs just went down in selling price again. Especially if its a Tesla. I went out for a walk (live in the suburbs) and saw four Teslas in a row drive by. There are a lot of Teslas in my area.

We keep our cars a while and still have a 1999 Sienna, 2007 Prius and a 2000 Lexus RX300. The M3 is 21 year newer than the RX300 which will be the next one we'll retire. Gas is going up again and is $4.59 at Costco in the bay area. It'll probably be a next gen EV similar to the Ariya with range a pleasant surprise getting 3.5 mile per kWh (Eco mode, e-step on, B regen).

Currently, used EVs are very sought after because buyers can get $4000 tax credit only from licensed dealers.
@Jayway can get better deal with his Leaf at Carmax because Carmax knows they must compete with Nissan dealerships.

The problem with used Teslas is that owners will flood the market once their vehicles are up for something new. M3 is already 5 yrs design. It does not help if the new M3 has a model refresh in 2024. The resale value will be extremely poor then. Me personally, I would jump on it and sell it now if I own an M3 especially if it’s outside the warranty period.

We usually keep cars a long time too, but made an exception with our 2019 Leaf -- a combination of its relatively low miles (drove less not long after purchase due to work-from-home) and the used car market timing made it much more worth it to sell

That's why you see so many of them...each of the Tesla models have been on the market a few years. I'm not into getting the lastest model car as you can tell from our current cars. With our recent home solar, filling up electricity into the cars will be 'free'. My breakeven on the solar is 5 years. I haven't filled up a ICE in 4 weeks. I did see a Lucid on my walk. Beautiful paint job but not keen on the body style. Their lower priced model is due soon which means nothing hahaha as most EV companies write their schedule in invisible ink. But no worries about resale as the cars are used to get us from point a to point b. With the Ariya, I'm smiling as I go from a to b.

Speaking of Lucid, guess what was parked nearby my favorite EVGO location as of this minute ?

What's the chances of you and I seeing one of 2000 cars they have in the world. LOL Lucid has a repair center in the town I live in. You don't see many out in the wild.
