Yes, my understanding is that the Premiere was only going to be available for a limited time, although some dealerships may have ordered some for their stock. I think the Empower is pretty close to it, minus the Premiere badging, but I'm not sure.

So unless you reserved a premier, or find one from a cancelled reservation, you can’t get one.
checked the Nissan website and confirmed, no Premier. Weird.
It's the same thing besides 2 things. I can't remember one but I know illuminated kick plates was one. The other thing whatever it was minor so it's basically the same.Yes, my understanding is that the Premiere was only going to be available for a limited time, although some dealerships may have ordered some for their stock. I also originally thought that it was Platinum trim minus the AWD, leather interior, better sound, and motion activated liftgate (hands-free so you can wave your foot under the back end of the vehicle and it opens). However, I've learned that the list of differences is longer -- the Platinum trim also has a power tilt/telescoping steering column (as opposed to manual), memory for the front passenger seat, side mirror positions and the steering column (as opposed to just memory for the driver's seat), side mirrors with reverse tilt-down, and what I think is the most irksome difference -- the side mirrors have integrated LED turn signals. Apparently in Canada the Premiere trim has the mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, but for some reason not in the US -- you'd think they'd be included for a 50k+ vehicle! I'm hoping that this might be something that can be remedied easilyI always thought of the Premier as a FWD version of the Platinum Without the leather seats. The Empower didn’t have the highend sound system nor the touchfree rear hatch.
Ya the LED turn signals is the only thing that I would want out of that list. It is crazy that's its not on the Empower not sure who's bright idea that was.I also originally thought that it was Platinum trim minus the AWD, leather interior, better sound, and motion activated liftgate (hands-free so you can wave your foot under the back end of the vehicle and it opens). Yes, most of those features are conveniences, and I'm hoping it will eventually show up as a part or accessory that can be added/installed...Ya the LED turn signals is the only thing that I would want out of that list. It is crazy that's its not on the Empower not sure who's bright idea that was.
What exterior color is yours? Was disappointed that the Premiere did not come with Bose stereo as I believe the Empower plus in Europe has the Bose. Also would have liked the light interior but didn’t give me that option when I made reservation in January 2022. Premiere as the highest trim for FWD should have included Napa leather, Bose and kick back hatch opening. Doesn’t seem right to only get that on an AWD option only.
The Bose.... after having an upgraded JBL 9 speaker (subwoofer) system in my former vehicle 2021 Rav4 Hybrid Limited this system SUCKS in comparison.. also had the kick hatch opening.. but, this stock stereo UcckWas disappointed that the Premiere did not come with Bose and kick back hatch opening. $60K for the latest and greatest techs is not expensive at all compared to a fully loaded MY at $85K. For a $85K fully loaded MY, you still get the same crappy interior as a standard SR MY for $55K.Hopefully I will find the Platinum trim worth the cost. 60K for a vehicle is painful. I really really hope I love it and it will be still a solid ride when I have 200k miles on it.
It’s still an adjustment in perspective. My first new car was a 1982 Honda Prelude that I worked hard to keep under $10,000. When I look at the cost as a percentage of annual salary, the Prelude took a bigger % bite out of my paycheck. And interest rates were worse back then…$60K for the latest and greatest techs is not expensive at all compared to a fully loaded MY at $85K. The outside mirror led turn signal indictor lights should be STANDARD on all trim levels, This is a safety feature, not a luxury feature. I was greatly disappointed that it didn’t come with it. What was Nissan thinking? Why stop at blind spot indicator light?Ya the LED turn signals is the only thing that I would want out of that list. It is crazy that's its not on the Empower not sure who's bright idea that was.
Agreed. Since they've been slapping on the illuminated kick plates as a factory added item to vehicles where they didn't come standard, I'm hoping they would do the same with the side mirrors[

I agree on that, or at least most trims levels, I think Canada has them on more models too. Each region chooses their configurations.[

Yes, Canada does have them. I feel like some dumdum with no idea what options the region needs just picked them out of a hat! 😆I agree on that, or at least most trims levels, I think Canada has them on more models too. Each region chooses their configurations.
I may buy these outside mirror light indictators as a spare part and have them installed on my Ariya. My 2008 Volvo XC90 has them. Here we are in 2023, Nissan omitted them as a standard feature. STRIKE! How do they expect to differentiate themselves from Tesla?I agree on that, or at least most trims levels, I think Canada has them on more models too. Each region chooses their configurations.
