Selling my Ariya in Colorado

I’m selling my Ariya Venture+ in Colorado. MRSP plus some taxes. 52K is what we want. We got call from our dealer that our Evolve+ is on the lot but they are trying to low ball me with the Trade in value saying that Ariyas are coming but there is no Ariyas available around. I check all the inventory and Nothing available yet.
I’m taking good offers only.

Please keep the forum posted on what price the market will bear when you find a buyer for your slightly used Venture +. I did some quick math and I calculated that your total investment for your Venture is approximately $50K including shipping, 3% sales tax, title and registration fees.? Yes?

Sorry to hear about lowball offers. Might want to also check places like CarMax, too, perhaps they can make a better offer? Best of luck!

If you sell your Venture, will you lose your free unlimited EVGO charging even though you own the new Evolve+?
The dealer could buy your Venture to be use as a demo unit if they can help you as a customer, or help you sell your Venture as a consignment?

I don't know about Colorado but EV demand has cratered in Florida. I've been offered two Ariyas from two different dealers at MSRP and other EVs are piling up on lots here too. Fairly easy to buy an EV6 or Ioniq 5 at MSRP here.

I'm about to test drive an EMPOWER+ this weekend at another Nissan dealership (where my Platinum+ is arriving in a few months).
Interesting plan once tax credits are considered.

Voxel:
Interesting news! An IQ5 at MSRP might not be a bad thing.

Meh. I just declined an Ioniq 5 SEL AWD at MSRP that is arriving in March. Just not very compelling since I own a BMW i4 and Mach-e AWD Extended Range. I think it is a decent alternative to a Model Y though.

I've test driven and decline many of my EV orders recently - Solterra, EV6, i4 M50 (didn't want to pay $20K to upgrade), Bolt. All at MSRP with no add-ons.

I'm only interested in the Ariya, Lyriq, and Rivian R1S. I'm declining everything else.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 sales started to decline back in July/Aug 2022 time frame. Those were selling briskly up until the $7500 IRA announcement. Also, the greedy stealerships marking those vehicles way over MSRP. They got what they deserved for being greedy then. They could have sold lot lot more then.

Let us know how you like the Empower + test drive since you are probably the only one that test drove many EVs up until now.

Since the Lyriq is a bit longer than the Ariya, it will be interesting to learn in the coming months if GM will offer a 7 seat version to meet the IRS criteria of an SUV.

So far... with the 2024 order guide out... seems like 7 seater is not an option.

It’s only been a matter of weeks since the IRS categorized the Lyriq as a passenger car. So with that in mind it wouldn’t surprise me if upper management at GM has since, at the very least, discussed the practicality of incorporating this feature into the Lyriq?

I don’t think EV demand has crated rather people are buying Teslas instead. As for trading in your Ariya, you’re gonna have a tough go of it. Used car inventory is up and prices have dropped. I was actually gonna do something similar by buying a Venture+ and then trading it in for an Evolve to double my tax credit. Luckily they pulled the tax credit so I canceled.

I also did a good amount a research on what they would give me on trade for a Ventire+ at the time Kelly Blue book did not have any estimates, but I did get one major dealer to call me back and they told me would not be anything over MSRP and they would also have to the dealership to consult on them on the price as well. Talk about a bunch of scammers. Needless to say the days of buying a new car and flipping it are gone.
