there is a difference between
an update of the nissan connect update (on your android or apple phone), which in Belgium we receive
and
the OTA update for the car ...
In Belgium I didn't receive any navagation maps update and no update for the car ....

For EU countries the latest software update for the satnav is the 283C36PA9E that was released on May 2023.
And the latest map update is the 22219_5_5 which launched sometime 2023.
I had both of those update installed last year.

Did you received these updates via WiFi or installed via USB ?
I received the software one via OTA with the car's own mobile data, although it can be downloaded through WiFi too if there's no coverage in your area.
The map update was applied manually through USB because right now for EU the map updates through the car's own mobile data or WiFi is bugged and they're working on it.

Nissan Europe has emailed me just now, that the reported issue about the OTA map updates is resolved and a software update for the satnav is available. Might have to check.
Well, they say so, but it is still not working. Actually OTA is not working at all. It sort of works, but the answer is always: "You are at the latest version", whatever version you currently have.
USB map update is possible, but the latest version is dated 06.2022, (22219_0_5). That is because Nissan only pays Tomtom for update every 24 m. Tomtom premium services offer updates every 90 days in comparison.

OTA infotainment software updates are working.
OTA map updates are not working right now.
The OTA map update was a thing that they tried with me on a specific support case thing, seems it doesn't apply to the rest of users so isn't working yet, and maybe neither for me for the next map update available.

The current package for most Ariya-owners is 283C36Pxxx where xxx differs vastly.

Some modules have not been updated at all, other modules only once. Some modules have 3 new updates for the 2024-version. I have a fairly old version, but still new updates installed for ADAS, AVM, SDLR, CDM, FrCAM, HUD and HVAC, but this is still and old version, not the latest that the OTA keep saying. The dealers update the software by using an USB-stick. They are fed up waisting half an hour for every car they must update manually.

Perhaps OTA now works with the latest version of the update software.

Not in my case.

The OTA experience is different depending on what part of the world you live in. I still chuckle at the thread’s subject because the was on update to the MyNISSAN app on 12/5. As for the Ariya, in the U.S., I believe the consensus is that there has yet to be an OTA released.

Actually not the latest. For EU countries 283C36PM9D is newer. So is 283C36PC2A. 283C36PA9E is a minor upgrade from 283C36PA8E. Release date is probably early 2023. Mine was installed in april 2023.

Upgrading OTA from 283C36PA9E will always display a message saying that you are at the latest version and everything is up to date. If you instead use a manual USB type upgrade, it will upgrade and tell you which modules that were upgraded for that particular version. Latest maps are 22219_0_5 dated 06.2022.
