Still POSITIVE info: thanks
The shipping schedule that someone posted in another thread here does show all west coast destination ships docking first in Vancouver. That column does have a “new” designation on it, so this port may be a recent, but expected, change for Nissan. There are some strange ship movements by the Nissan Motor Car Carrier vessels going on. The Jupiter Spirit was scheduled to be in Tacoma, WA and then on to Los Angles. It however it is now making a stop in Vancouver, WA just across the Columbia River from Portland, OR. One Nissan dealer in Portland told me they had 20 reservations. There are 8 Nissan dealers in the greater Portland area. My speculation is: Could the Jupiter Spirit be bringing Ariya's to the region? Anyone have any other ideas? I sure wish I have a way to look at the cargo manifest of these ships.
There is a Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as well as a Vancouver, Washington, USA. See Free AIS Ship Tracker - VesselFinder and put in Jupiter Spirit in search box at the top of the page. The shipping schedule that someone posted in another thread here does show all west coast destination ships docking first in Vancouver. Thanks for this insider info. Nice to see Nissan earning a bit of income from Subaru. The Nissan Motor Car Carrier Co., LTD has a fleet of RORO vessels, 4 of which rotate from Japan to Vancouver, BC, Tacoma, WA, Los Angles, CA and San Diego on the west coast. I have the posted schedule from 14-Oct-22 and will attache it for your viewing pleasure. If you look at google map with the imagery layer you can see a RORO berthed at the port, just south of the Fort Vancouver Seafarers Center. I live about 30 miles south. I was in the Navy for 4 years and across the Pacific.I live in Vancouver Washington and my brother is a longshoreman. Nissans don’t unload here. Port of Tacoma I believe. Not uncommon for ships to carry other vehicles. Subaru unloads at port of Vancouver.
There are six RORO car carriers that make the rounds. Japan to Jacksonville, FL then some stop at Newport News, VA then on to Baltimore and New York. See the attached schedule from 14-Oct-22what about the east coast??

Agreed. For all we know, these shipments could be full of ICE cars on their normal allotment shipments.I sure wish I have a way to look at the cargo manifest of these ships.

Toyota BZ4X has a no-sale recall which is finally being figured out. I don't think the Port issue is the cause for delay in BZ4X.While I was test driving an Ioniq 5 today, the dealer and I started talking about the Toyota BZ4X and she told me that they've been waiting on one since May but that it's stuck at the port. She pulled it up on her computer and showed me on her screen that its arrival is delayed by 189 days and that it was delivered to the port at the end of May but is still there "processing." This is in NYC. I hope we have better luck once our Ariyas hit the U.S.
