Waiting on my Evolve to get here in April. Was going through the dealer install options and came across the virtual key for $450. The virtual key for a Tesla comes with the car and I didn't recall seeing this when I placed my reservation...it been a long time waiting. How's the app working for folks who are driving their Ariya and has anyone ordered the virtual key? Those who have, is it worth the $450?

When I had my Nissan OEM wheels installed last week, Nick (GM) said they had a customer requesting their Ariya have Virtual Key. Since his dealership had never installed one before, it will be a learning curve for them. It would be nice to get that owner on this forum to share his feedback.

You’re still waiting for your FWD, Ariya? Hurry and call up Tustin Nissan! Waiting for April delivery seems unreasonable. I’m sure he’ll offer you a special deal if you want the Virtual Key installed. They will already have the expertise to have done the installation.

I would love to know more about the virtual key—I almost bought one but thought I would wait to see how things went with the Nissan Connect app. Might pull the trigger later if it seems like it will be an improvement.

Hank, the saleperson has offered to give me one of the 23 Ariya on their wbsite. However, they do not have many evolve+. I ordered my in Boulder Grey and black diamond which they do not have in an Evolve. At this point, I get to see how everyone else is doing with their new cars over the next month. Thinking of seeing about upgrading to a Premiere as that trim will disappear soon once they are sold. Our Tesla has the key on the phone app so paying $450 seems high for what it is. Will probably test drive the Mitsubushi Outlander PHEV next week.
