I can’t speak for everyone here but the ideal scenario for me is to carry a portable charging unit daily so I always have it accessible on board. My fixed home daily charger because it stays in place is much more convenient. In addition, since my home charger is fixed, this application saves wear and tear on the 50 amp receptacle that it plugs into.

That is what I also envision. I already have a ChargePoint level II charger in my garage on a 50 amp circuit. The "Nissan EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) included with the Ariya will be welcome as the take along unit. In a pinch I may be able to find an RV spot where I could use it to charge up.

It's also just generally a good idea to have a backup for such a critical item, just in case one decides to stop working.

My electric utility provider SUMD offers $500 rebate for a charging unit; however, qualified brands do not include Wallbox 😞

In NJ. JCPL is offering $250 for wallbox + 150 from Nissan. I bought 40AMP plugin type wallbox and getting it today.
